Sounds like a GPU driver crash, which is not something that games tend to recover from. Software that doesn't use the GPU or that is built to be super resilient to that kind of thing (browsers, Electron apps) will survive as you have seen

We test very extensively on Nvidia, not seen anything like that

Some questions:

  • What GPU?
  • What driver?
  • What windows version? 32 or 64 bit? Latest updates installed?
  • Are you using normal or compatibility graphics mode in the launcher settings? (Ideally use normal mode)
  • Do you have a fps limit and/or vsync enabled? (These may help if a hardware issue)

Overall I would say this is likely a hardware issue. Are other games that max out your GPU stable on your hardware?

IIRC what he said was that it was "lucky" that the project got cancelled because it scored low in the survey.

To my knowledge we haven't made or changed any scheduling decisions based on the survey results yet. We basically presented it to you a week after we had them.

This bugs was fixed and released this Monday (7th of October).

The fps issue you reported is logged in our systems but is not fixed.

Just a quick note to say 60% was just an example figure, not the actual balancing. It will likely be somewhere around that, but it hasn't been completely decided yet.

Have a chat to Fara the gnome challenge mistress near Burthorpe lodestone to kick off the daily challenge UI tutorial. Sounds like you need to complete the daily challenge path (which'll give you 5 introductory challenges, and after you clear one (but ideally all) of those you'll start rolling regular daily challenges).
