Are the drop rates for eggs lower in the prerelease than what they will be when the ranch out of time goes live? This was said on the stream but not listed on the news post.
Also will the eggs become tradable once the ranch comes out or will they always be untradable? Also contradictory to what was said on stream.

As far as I know the drop rates will be the same after release. This may change however if balancing see fit. Eggs will have the same trade restrictions as the current POF eggs once the RooT is released.
Nothing to add beyond what Raven already said. The skill is work in progress.

I mean, we're not doing this ourselves, this was an initiative from the streamers themselves who wanted to do a fun event and we wanted to support them.

When trying to make something happen so hard (make the rs3 twitch scene bigger), you usually do the opposite.
Not sure I agree with this point, even more so when we've started to introduce LootScape to content creators.
