37s artist uh we're working a new feature
40s basically Base building element turret
43s the base building turret all right and
45s uh can you tell us what is the process
47s of uh a feature actually becoming a
49s feature can you talk us through it sure
51s sure I can basically we start with game
53s design document uh which we turn into
56s model blockout mhm uh that model
58s blockout is used with programming
60s department so they can start impl in the
63s future uh from that point on the iterate
65s design per gameplay needs and in house
68s feedback of course all right that sounds
70s great and can you show us what you're
71s working on sure let's go to frano okay

82s long have you been at gamp PES 3 and 1/2

113s the more detailed version of that and
115s this was a previous iteration but we
117s scrapped it in uh some design changed
120s and with low so I think that's why we

168s functionality of the base building
170s turret hi Dave hello and what can you
172s tell us about your part of the process
175s so in the next major update you'll be
176s able to build five different Base
178s building turret types that will help
180s help you defend your base from all kinds
183s of threats on the island including when
186s you're online and Offline that includes
189s uh sentries drop ships uh puppets other
193s players vehicles with other players in
195s them mhm and so on all right so you'll
199s be able to build a basic turret that's
201s the cheapest turret and the least
204s accurate and actually well the worst of
206s them all uh next one is 50 turret that
211s packs a lot more punch is a lot more
213s accurate has greater range but also the
217s ammunition is a lot more expensive mhm
220s uh third type is Minun turret that um
224s has a spinning Minun that shoots what
226s the fastest mhm fourth third type is
230s very useful it's a flamethrower oh yeah
233s that's great for like like base defense
235s from other players right yes all right
237s all right and the last one is rocket
241s threat that will help you defend your
242s base against drop ships and sentes that
245s sounds
246s great okay Dave and can you give us a
248s little demonstration on the turret and
250s how it works so in order to use them you
253s need a power source such as electricity
255s generator and compatible ammo this this
258s is a 50 cal turret so it can only take
261s 50 cal
262s bullets also static mesh is work in
266s progress
267s so this is just a placeholder mhm all
270s the guys are working on it that's fine
271s that's fine so uh let's place a Target
274s in front of the
277s turret oh man that's one shot right yeah
281s yeah I mean the 50 the 50 kex a punch as
284s it should
285s yeah so the next tur type is rocket tur
289s that's one right
296s there uh it's the most accurate tur and
299s it's intended for air defense and all
302s defense against sentri and you're dead
305s and I'm theread yeah and the last thir
309s type is flamethrower turret that you'll
311s probably use to defend your hallways and
314s entrances to your base so let see
320s it and I'm there sizzling I like it the
325s all looks uh very cool but uh what's the
329s catch well uh all of these turrets have
334s some limitations some turrets can only
336s turn to a specific angle so that they
340s can only cover one part of your base uh
344s they have their ammo is quite limited
347s and also well you need to supply that
349s ammo so upkeep is quite
352s expensive uh turrets don't sweep the
355s perimeter they just lock onto one uh
359s angle and uh cover that so in order to
364s cover most of your base you'll need to
366s think carefully where you'll put uh the
368s turrets and have and also have like
371s different types of turrets yeah that's
373s necessary all right and also you'll be
375s able to place a limited number of them
377s per base so yeah placement is very
381s important that makes sense all right
