26s I'm a mid-level designer here uh well
29s currently I'm working on the be free
30s sector Castle rework which is part of
32s the major POI rework assignment that the
34s whole level design team is currently
35s working on all right can you show us
37s something yes of course let's see well
41s uh here you can see the castle segments
43s which I made uh which the the entire
45s Castle will consist of mhm and also uh
48s the castle in the D2 sector will also
50s use these same segments oh that's great
53s yeah uh here you can see uh the segments
56s uh have improved uh mesh and texture
59s quality the textures were made by my
61s dear colleague NAD which Who currently
63s isn't here oh uh here you can see I
67s painted moss and black plaster textures
69s on the base material which will give
71s more detail and variation between the
73s separate segments and much more
75s realistic look I'd say yes it looks
77s great and
79s uh can you show us the castle yes of
82s course all right here is the
84s castle I'm currently working on mhm uh
88s so it's a work in progress the layout
90s will stay pretty much the same as the
92s old one but when you come closer you can
96s see much more detail oh yeah on the
99s individual elements of the castle the
102s castle itself has more ruins it will
106s look uh and feel different you can climb
109s on the walls and explore it in different
111s ways as you see fit awes awesome yes so
115s this is pretty much it for now all right
118s and let me ask you uh what is the
119s biggest challenge you've had to face on
122s this POI rework assignment well the
124s biggest challenge in the POI uh rework
127s is maximizing performance while
128s obtaining High visual Fidelity this
130s means reducing the model poing count
133s using better quality textures and using
135s things like Atlas textures to improve
137s performance all right and uh what's next
140s for you when you're done with the castle
141s well after I'm done with the castle I'll
143s be joining the rest of the team in bu
145s fixing and helping other members in
147s their POI reworks that sounds great and
150s uh and this is still our work in
151s progress right yes uh everything you've
153s seen here today is still a work in
155s progress we have a lot of work to do
157s before this gets out but it's going to
158s be a massive visual upgrade to the whole
160s game so it's worth the wait y certainly
162s looks that way and uh how long have you
164s been working here uh I've been working
166s here for approximately 2 years now oh
