Hey! We detected a bug that was preventing some accounts from properly being placed after their placement matches. While we work on a fix for this, we pushed those accounts into the Maverick rank so that they could start ranking up properly. We'll keep everyone posted on when we have a fix!

Hey! We found some players were in a state where they couldn’t properly get placed at all. We’re working on fixing this bug, but in the meantime we forced affected players into Maverick so that they can still climb ranks while we work. Sorry about this. We’ll provide updates on this when we can.

Okay, good to know that doesn’t always resolve it. Thanks!

We’re looking into this. For now, restarting the mission should fix it.

My cousin, who was playing in VR mode, however could not.

The game doesn't have a "virtual keyboard" for PC, so you can do it if you're on PC in 2d mode, or on console in 2d or VR (because they have a built-in virtual keyboard). So if you're on PC and want to custom-name the character but play in VR, you'll want to start in 2d, name yourself, and switch to VR after.

Thanks for flagging some of these HOTAS issues to us. We have a few fixes in the works thanks to your reports, including for the deadzones. We'll share more details as soon as we can!

There might have been some confusion there. The trial is definitely on the regular tier. The full game is through Pro. If you're on Steam, though, they're still working on getting their trial up. Hopefully, not too long now.

You shouldn't be seeing the word "slider" if you're playing on a PS4 controller. Are you using a HOTAS?

Thanks for the reports on this, everyone. We’re looking into it!

How do you turn HDR off? The option is greyed out in video settings (slider is stuck on green)

Go into your Windows settings/Nvidia control panel to do it there first.

We have become aware of and are actively working to address a bug that may prevent you from completing the Fleet Battles Tutorial if your starfighter is destroyed at certain points during the exercise.

In the meantime, you can still complete the tutorial (and earn the cosmetic items) as long as your starfighter is not destroyed during the tutorial.

So, JackFrags actually had this issue while playing and found that HDR was turned on in-game and in his system settings (despite not having an HDR monitor). I'd check that. I'm not sure if that was because he was on the latest drivers and hardware (RTX 3080), but it might be worth looking into.

If that doesn't work, please reach out to our customer support at help.ea.com.
