Having the same issue myself, honestly thought i was loosing my mind when it started happening till i saw this post. I've tried everything you have tried as well and even went a step further thinking it might have been my PC. So i Overclocked both my CPU and GPU as that should have resolved the issue but it is still happening any time I join a party with a friend. Sound tears, game slowing down at random times. But never one had an issue with this until about a week ago as the game was running flawless till then. Never once hit a lag spike or ever had audio issues till then. I ruled out audio driver issues as i can run discord without a problem and just to check re-installed all of my drives/updated them all across the board. I can even play all my other games like Battlefield 2042 without any issues at all. So it is an R6 issue that is causing all this and it was what ever patch they pushed out last week that is causing it all.

I'm testing and looking for a solution to the problem, but i think its going to end up being a patch the devs will have to release to fix whatever they did to cause this to suddenly pop up in the game.

Hey @xXDamonBradXx

Can you give me a bit more info on what's been happening with these freezes? Which platform do you play on? Does it seem like it's happening at a certain spot in-game, or is it just random? Are you seeing any sort of error messages at all?

Thanks!

Gotcha. We should try running through some steps to see if we can help fix this here.

When you've got a chance I'd recommend starting with the Xbox troubleshooting steps to see if that helps at all. Let me know if you're still running into the same issues afterward.

I'm afraid I haven't heard if there are plans to bring back solos or duos in the future. I know they're both something that the community has been asking about for a while now, but we don't have any updates on that at the moment.

If it is something that's brought back we'll most likely have an announcement to share with everyone. I'd recommend keeping an eye out on the Apex Legends Twitter page for announcements on future updates and new stuff coming to the game.

Hey all! The issue has been resolved. If you continue to experience unusally high ram or cpu usage, restarting the game should resolve it!

Hey @mrincoldblood

I'm sorry to hear you game is freezing sometimes. Game freezes can be caused by various things and won't necessarily happen on every computer. Please can you run through the steps found here if you are still having issues with it happening.

Thanks for your reply @kiljaedan1

We ask players to send us their system files for further investigation when troubleshooting the issue has not been able to help.

Not all of our players will experience this exact issue when launching the game, and for those players that do, this issue might not be caused by the exact same thing.

System files will allow us to rule out a few possible causes such as corrupted/missing game files, game launcher issues, software, hardware, connection, or Windows conflicts that could be causing these issues.

If you would like further help with this issue after trying our troubleshooting steps, please create a support ticket by logging into our website here and creating a ticket, so we can assist you further and gather more information >
https://www.ubisoft.com/help/contact

Unfortunately, without gathering system files from players who are affected by this, our QA team may not be able to replicate or resolve this issue. We will lock this thread for now as you do not wish to pursue a support ticket, but should you change your mind, please use the link we posted above, thank you.

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-EU4
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/EU4 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4 folders
In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam EU4 or Documents EU4 locations, before installing again.
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add EU4.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test with a new campaign - NOT any existing one

IF that doesn't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log .
