I just updated my Division 2 game today (it's been a month or 2 since I last played) and my game won't start now, it says something about an "unrecognized game client"?

I run NO mods ever and have played the game for hours and hours already.

Any ideas on this one?

Hi @jbblack007 apologies for the late response.

I am also sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues launching your game.

If you are still experiencing this could you please try verifying your game files then try again.

However, if the issue persists could you also try uninstalling/reinstalling the Ubisoft Connect launcher then retry.

Please can you try uninstalling Ubisoft Connect and downloading a fresh installation from our site here, to make sure you have the most up to date version.

We're not aware of any active issues regarding this error message. Therefore can you please once more fully reinstall the game and supporting software, and then run it as administrator for me?

If you continue to experience problems, could you please reach out and create a case through the Ubisoft Support website? Also, when doing this, could you please attach your system files? These files will greatly assist our investigation. Once the case has been created, one of our specialists will be able to take a closer look into why this might be happening.

Hi @baodor15, welcome to Discussions! I'm glad you were able to get this fixed! Also, thank you for sharing what worked for you so that other people can try it and see if it helps them as well. Do you recall what particular file was being quarantined?

Hey @ragnarr_redwolf, have you been able to remove the file from quarantine and authorize all files from The Division 2?

Have you reinstalled the launcher as well ?
