Dear The Division 2 Support-Team,

DirectX 12 will still crash the game to desktop, sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after 2 hours. It appears to occur randomly. The newest GeForce Game Ready 431.60 WHQL driver did not fix the issue. Instead, NVIDIA confirms in the release notes of the driver https://us.download.nvidia.com/Windo...ease-notes.pdf on page 14:

[Tom Clancy's The Division II]: The game may crash when played in DirectX 12 mode. [2587043/200406322]
Therefore my question: Is there any news on your end concerning the DirectX 12 crashes? Are you working on something? I would love to play the game in DirectX 12 since it makes the game run much smoother compared to DirectX 11, but the crashes make it very annoying - especially if you are crashing in the middle of organized group content like the raid.

Kind regards

S3lll

Hey everyone! The crucial part of reporting this issue is verifying if you have the same issue on DX11. If you have no issues on DX11, that is something we would want to investigate. If you have performance issues with DX11 and DX12, this is a completely different issue we can look into for you.

To get assistance, you will need to submit your MSINFO files, and please state if you have this issue on DX11 and DX12.

@RedIndianRobin As I stated previously:

I checked your account in our system, and do not see a ticket currently open about this issue. If you would like assistance with this issue, please submit your files and state if you only have this issue with DX12 or DX11 as well, and then send me a DM with your ticket number.

Hey WrecK3rr,

I can appreciate the issue is frustrating and it may be irritating to be asked for your MSinfo and DXDiag by ourselves, but we do this so the dev team can investigate the issue fully with system files of affected users.

If you are experiencing this issue, please do not hesitate to get in touch via our support site and include your MSinfo and DXDiag, this does help the team with trying to pin down the root cause.

Cheers,

Hey everyone,

I hope you can appreciate that this is a busy period for us at support.

The devs are looking into the issue on their end using your system files that you send in (thanks btw)

However, if you haven't already, can you contact us via live chat and have your dxdiag and msinfo ready to give to our support agents there that would be a great help. We will be able to pass these on to the devs, or have a look ourselves and find something out of the blue with your specific set up that may be causing the crashes.
