Hi,

Bought vanilla AC Valhalla (UK/English) for PS4 on disc a couple of weeks ago.

Now 29 hours in, in England (Exploration - after an abbey raid into Oxenefordscire), the odd clipping bugs experienced but no showstoppers - was quite enjoying it really. Then that all changed today....

I cannot load any saved games - when I try I get the icon spinning in the bottom rh corner as normal, but no 3D Eivor or tips and then the whole system just "3 beeps" and crashes. Nothing in Error History.

I have rebuilt the database, tried with disconnected Internet (now reconnected). I have > 200GB free space. My PS4 was stripped down and the fan and heatsink de-dusted 10 days ago.

On the HDD I still have TW3, Horizons Zero Dawn, Diablo 3 and Fenyx. I have loaded them all up and they all still work (and tried saved games...)

I did log in to Ubisoft Connect and claimed some rewards overnight - I hope it isn't some weird incompatibility with that.

So I have no idea where to go now. Any solutions?

Sorry to hear that you are unable to start your game anymore.

When your game crashes, do you receive any CE error code, by any chance? As you mentioned nothing in error history, does this mean that your game just crashes to the dashboard? Additionally, can you please confirm if you tried reinstalling your game?

Thank you for sharing this additional information, @qma1212. Just to confirm, you've mentioned that your PS4 system is running a modified version of FreeBSD - can you clarify whether this means that your console is running a custom version of its firmware that is not officially supported by Sony?

If so, I'm afraid that we would be unable to offer much further troubleshooting as your console is not running the firmware our games have been developed to support. We cannot guarantee that our games will work on any custom firmware installations or modified consoles.

Once I have confirmation regarding the above, I'll try to provide additional troubleshooting recommendations to the best of my ability, though as stated, I cannot guarantee that they will be successful in allowing the game to run on your system if it has been modified. Thanks! 🙂

Hello qma1212 thank you for confirming you are using the default firmware for your PS4 Pro console and sorry for the late reply.

The crashes you mention are quite pecuilar with the 3 post sounding beeps and as you have already tried our troubleshooting guide without success, I believe sending us a video would also help us to find a solution for you, as I do not believe this particular issue has been raised to us before for this particular console.
