This has been happening to me for 2 months now following update 1.12 where every time I log into Ac valhalla it says an error is preventing my game from being saved please restart to be able to save again. But when restarting and pressing continue the problem still persists, I have over 330 hours of playtime on my save and now displays as corrupted and I cannot play the game anymore. Honestly this is a serious game breaking issue and has completely ruined my experience with this game.

We are investigating reports of player's save files becoming corrupt and inaccessible. If you are able to, would you please provide a video or images of the save files, as well as the version of the game you are running.

@bigbossrecz Thanks for the images provided. Can you confirm if this is only affecting auto saves and quick saves or are you unable to manually save your game as well?

Can you also confirm if you use rest mode whilst playing the game?

Can you also confirm the following:

  • The last quest you completed in the game
  • Which region you were in when this issue first occurred
  • Your current active quest if you were doing one
  • If you encountered any crashes whilst playing the game
