I noticed that after the update my 15 Million Health Shield gets absolutely shredded by explosions on PVE, RC drones, Grenades from the Warhounds and Mini-Tanks etc. are dealing a significantly higher amount of damage to it. A single warhound grenade takes off around 5 Million health on it while even the RC drones from the Black Tusk Operators take off about 1/4-1/3 of the shields health. Given the horrendous spam of those drones and even the Warhound grenades the shield now gets destroyed extremely fast in Legendary missions.
Tested this out on Capitol hill and my Shield got absolutely negated on the rooftop part because of all the grenades. This wasn't the case in TU14.
I guess some of the PVP multipliers somehow are attached to explosive damage? As far as I know shields where supposed to be untouched in PvE aside from the disorient effect after breaking. As it stands it's a huge nerf to shields and makes them pretty much useless at high tiered content even when maxed out. (As I said my Shield runs 15M Health in a 4-Piece Foundry and as I have no offense capability it's the main focus of my build.)
Are there any official comments about it? It it a bug with the multipliers? Is this supposed to stay like that?
Hopefully this will get resolved and shields will be able to withstand the explosions better again. They already hit your health behind your shield anyway so I don't know why they now also destroy it so easily.
