I have the same issue but before the update. I have perceived and got the level 457 i wish i had stopped playing as whatever causes the crash now does it on all my games i have tried everything that has been advised but now my xbox series x is becoming unplayable and when i mean all games i even mean backward compatible ones even to pac man so i would advised others to stop playing. It is a shame because the game it self is great i even got all the add ons but seem to have wasted alot of money on it including my xbox series x.

The team has a potential fix for this issue, but it does require a Cert build and of course some more thorough testing to be 100% verified.

Unfortunately we don't have a guaranteed workaround at the moment. Some helpful Tenno in this thread have found success with different solutions that are worth a try if you're experiencing this issue.

Apologies for the frustrations - we're definitely aware and investigating!

Hi @Demonslaier5290 apologies for the late response.

I'm also sorry to hear that your game is crashing.

Could you take a look at the PC troubleshooting article and run through all the steps listed then try again. The support article contains some of the most common fixes for crashes, freezing, FPS drops and more.

Please confirm if this resolves the issue.

@joostbosman Thank you for taking the time to complete all of those troubleshooting steps! That will save us a lot of time and it also eliminates a lot of possibilities. I have a few additional steps that I would like to suggest for good measure and I would also like to review some diagnostic system files. For good measure, please be sure to:

After those steps have been completed successfully if this crash occurs again, I would like to see if anything stands out after reviewing your diagnostic system files. If you don't mind providing those files, please login to our website and open a new support case with your DxDiag and MSINFO files attached.

@Ysurano Thank you for the information! I was able to locate the support case that you opened with your system files attached, and I am seeing several things that stick out and could be contributing to this crashing issue that you are encountering. I have a few more troubleshooting steps for us to work through which should help! Please proceed with the following:

  • Revert DPI and refresh rate on your monitor to native settings
  • Unplug all non-essential peripherals (Oculus, camera, microphone, etc.)
  • End all unnecessary background processes via Task Manager (Steelseries, Opera GX, LG Hub, etc.)

After those are all completed, please try to run Valhalla as an admin to make sure that is not part of the issue as well. While the load time may be longer, it is important that we rule that step out as well. If this crash happens again after those steps are done, please provide us with updated system files through your support case. (If you can, be sure to save your MSInfo file as .nfo so it will be easier for us to review)

Hi @dragon2claw I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing crashes in Assassin's Creed Valhalla and other games on your Xbox Series X. If you experience a crash in a game it is rare to see it affect other games on your console. When you experience crashes in all games this would generally be an issue with the console itself.

Could you please confirm the following:

  • When the issue first occurred?
  • When does the game crash? Does it crash at a certain location or when you are doing something specific such as a raid, navigating through busy town areas, riding your horse etc?
  • What troubleshooting you have tried?
