Hey everyone,

Matchmaking has been out for a few weeks now, and we're truly happy to see how well it was received.
There are still plenty of improvements we want to do with this mode, and some of them are pushed in this update.

New features:

+ Added a flash to the Trackmania window when a match is ready
+ Added a 3D view of your car in the menu (multiple cars will be displayed when the squad feature is added)
+ Added color to the progress bar depending on the color of your rank
+ Added only the match id to the clipboard when clicking on it
+ Added the banned status. If you leave your match before the end, soon you will be banned from matchmaking for a certain amount of time and you will lose the double of points you would have lost

+ Fixed opacity in the live ranking to be able to see better the team of the players and display its own name in green

Today's changelog:

+ Added a sound when your match is ready
+ Increased the finish timeout at the end of each round
+ Fixed multiple focus and navigation issue in the matchmaking menu
+ Fixed the progress bar issue where it would display "1000/1000" for example
+ Fixed the time difference in live ranking. They now show the milliseconds correctly
+ Added the possibility to click on the match id in order to set it in your clipboard
+ Fixed colors of the time gap UI
+ Fixed an issue where you would rejoin your match after leaving it
+ Fixed an issue with the length of the text "match starts in..."

CarlJr has claimed his second step win of the season. The Solary player now has an 82-point lead ahead of Pac.

The second Trackmania Grand League week looked quite the same for CarlJr who wins again and adds 78 points to his name. He is followed by Pac who was the fastest man on track this week but his 15th place on Picicle (the 4th map of the evening) cost him 17 points.

Great performance by Aurel who finished 3rd of the step with 41 points and takes the 3rd place in the general ranking. This stage went good as well for Affi (37 points), Bren (35 points) and Massa (35 points) who all made it into the top 8. tween also remains in the general top 8 with 13 points scored in this step.

Since a few weeks, a new mode is playable : the Cup of the Day. As a reminder, everyday at 7 PM (CET), you can join the Cup of the Day, which begin with a 15 min Time Attack. At the end of this phase, you will be place in a Knockout match server with other players according to your score. Here, the last player of each race is eliminated, and the winner is the last man standing. So be prepared, because there are many trophies to earn at the end !

During the Cup of the Day, you will have two occasions to earn trophies: during the Time Attack phase, and during the Knockout phase. For the Time Attack mode it is simple: the higher you are placed, the bigger your reward will be.

Are you ready for the start of the OGL Winter 2021 season?

The STEP 1 will take place on Saturday at 6 PM CET!

The Trackmania Open Grand League is back on Saturdays for its third season! Once again, the competition is open to any player who purchased Club Access. The two best players of the season may be promoted into the next Trackmania Grand League Edition!

How does it work?

The Trackmania Open Grand League regular season consists of 6 steps which will take place every Saturday at 6 PM CET from January 30th. Join the competition in the Grand League Club before the start of the race to take part in the step. The map pool and map order are the same ones as the TMGL. As with previous editions, you are allowed to stream yourself while playing the OGL steps!

New Season, New Maps, New Vision.

The Trackmania Grand League Winter 2021 Edition will start in a few weeks, but the maps have already been released. 6 maps will be played for the first step of the TMGL on the 24th of January. Then, each week, 2 new maps will replace the 2 first maps of the previous map-pack in order to give each step a fresh breeze. Every player who has Trackmania Standard or Club Access can try them Ingame.

More Diversity

As for the maps themselves, we took a look at what was good and not during the Fall edition and made some changes in order to always improve upon the competition.

Very good news for all Custom Items creators: the Nadeo Importer is now available for Trackmania!

From now on you can import models you created using your favorite 3D software in Trackmania as custom items and use them in the Trackmania map editor.

How does it work?
The Nadeo Importer is a small tool that needs to be installed in the folder which contains your Trackmania.exe. This tool allows you to turn .fbx files into .Item.Gbx files, which can then be used in the Trackmania Map Editor.

After 38 editions of the Cup of the day and 24 different winners, we hope that you all enjoyed playing this new feature!
It's truly a pleasure to see so much commitment from the players every day at 7 PM. We are now confident enough to move the Cup of the Day out of its BETA state in order to focus on the matchmaking. If you find any bug, do not hesitate to post it in the official forums.
