Regarding your concerns regarding account recovery, it’s very prudent of you to have these concerns. I will add that should you work with the EVE support team to recover your account, they do ask significantly more strenuous questions than your character name and e-mail.

This was not caused by load on a single system, however in the future if you do plan larger scale fights you can inform us via the Fleet Fight Notification Tool: https://community.eveonline.com/support/fleet-fight/
This will allow us to allocate dedicated hardware to that node to improve performance.
Unfortunately in this instance we aren’t able to send in-game notifications to only those affected, but the node in question was successfully restarted at 21:56. If there are continuing errors, we’ll be sure to let you know!

The application period for CSM 18 is now officially closed. There are some candidates who have started the process but have not finished, and those applications are still being processed. Processing applications did take a bit longer than our 72 hour goal, so if you have applied but haven’t heard back then don’t worry! You should be hearing from us later today.

The dates in the “Key dates” are correct, as the application portal did open up on the 1st along with a follow-up announcement on the 1st.
Typo was fixed in the “how to apply” section before the 1st, as well

It should now be working.
The first phase of the EVE Portal fix has gone out and should be active now for both Android and iOS. It may require an update, but please let us know if you’re still receiving the P100101 error code.
I’m excited to hear the enthusiasm for the upcoming CSM elections.

We have just been informed by our partners that there will be unscheduled maintenance on one of the routers which services the Tranquility cluster this evening, 14 July at 02:30 - 04:00 UTC.
We are working to mitigate any performance problems, however this may result in some player disconnections during that time period.
We’ll update this messaging if the unscheduled maintenance extends beyond 04:00.
