New High Priority Issues:

    Known Issues:

    • Game crashing with M1 based systems.

    • Helmet attachment slot missing.

    • While running around, you may occasionally see a black tile on the edge of the screen briefly. This is an engine quirk that occurs with the Windows version also, but it's more pronounced in our current Mac version.

    • Window Resolution/Size is too small when opening the game.

    • Pressing the Esc key in Fullscreen exits fullscreen mode.

    • Horizontally resizing the client window can sometimes cause a crash.

    • Cannot rotate while using Channelling skills with RMB or MMB.

Note that because Command+Q is technically the keystroke to use the Ctrl+Q skill binding, you can use Command+Option+Q to close the game client in a hurry.

Ok, I've fixed this. The menu button is directly under the logo on mobile devices now.

Hmm, strange. I'll flush the cache on the site and at the CDN and see if you guys can see them.

This was due to the global Cloud Flare outage.

We don't need an EGS forum section as it's the same crossplay build as the Steam version.

      The Future of Stash Tabs

Today we released some new types of Stash Tabs. Despite them selling well, many players had concerns about the direction of how our tabs are going in the future. We have some Stash Tab QoL features in the pipeline that we intended to announce when they were ready, but feel are important to announce now so that the context of the new tabs makes more sense.

      Tab Folders

You'll be able to create tab folders (for free), which can contain other tabs. This lets you easily group related tabs together, hide empty ones you don't want cluttering the list, and so on.

      Tab Affinities

You'll be able to tick a checkbox on one of each type of your Currency, Map, Essence, Divination, Fragment, Unique, Delve, Blight, Metamorph and Delirium Tabs, to indicate that that Tab should receive items that are Ctrl+Clicked from the inventory. This intentionally would not work with other items (such ... Read more

      Dynamic Particle Culling

One of the engine improvements we've been working on is Dynamic Particle Culling, where we cull unnecessary instances of particles when there's a lot going on on-screen. The system aims to stay within the specified target frame rate, working in conjunction with Dynamic Resolution. We are experimentally enabling this on a few skills at the launch of Harvest, and will widen the coverage over time so that eventually this feature is enabled on everything appropriate for it. As you can see in this video, it makes a ridiculous difference for builds that spam skills fast.

Since 2003, The British Academy of Film and Television Arts have included Games alongside Film and Television in their annual award ceremonies. This year, Path of Exile was nominated in the Evolving Game category, alongside Apex Legends, Destiny 2, Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, Fortnite and No Man's Sky. We are incredibly proud to announce that Path of Exile won the 2020 BAFTA award for Evolving Game.

It's such an honour to win this prestigious award. Jonathan, Erik and I are so proud of Path of Exile's entire developme... Read more

As an island nation in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean, New Zealand has an opportunity to stop the local spread of the recent coronavirus pandemic before it gets too entrenched. With around 100 cases from travellers returning home and two that may have been due to community transmission, our government announced yesterday that all New Zealanders will self-isolate for at least four weeks to eradicate the virus. This includes our entire development team.

The Path of Exile game service will remain online without disruption. Our server administrators were already solving problems from home when needed, so we do not expect any new issues that would affect the live service as a result of being unable to see each other in person.

We have moved all of our staff to working from home. While it's entirely possib... Read more

      Update on Delirium Server Status

Today's launch of Path of Exile: Delirium saw record player numbers - a peak of 237,160 simultaneous players so far in the first hour. While we're extremely pleased at the amazing turnout for launch, there are some server issues we'd like to talk about.

We anticipated a large launch, and ordered considerably more servers than we usually do, but it looks like it's not enough, especially when coupled with an ongoing DDOS attack that has knocked some of these machines off the internet. More servers will be added to restore capacity, as soon as they are available to us. We have instituted a login queue so that the game experience of people who are logged in is less affected.

Meanwhile, our regular gameplay programming team have been processing bug reports and client/instance crash dumps to make fixes for issues that players run into. They are currently bundling the first set of thes... Read more

It's unfortunate that in the 60 seconds it took me to create this image, you think the dev team has completely stopped all work. The team have been and still are working hard to fix all high-priority issues.

Interesting, I'm using an older i7 on my laptop right now and it's only taking up around 8% CPU for me. But sure, i'll add in a hotkey to turn it off.
