I'm glad to have it. But it appears to have messed some things up for the switch. Namely, I'm having trouble making certain artisan products and I can no longer place hay down for my animals.

There is a new feature called "item stowing", which can be turned off in the options menu. If you press Y while holding an item, it will "stow" it, so that you don't accidentally gift it to someone or eat it. Pressing A will always use the item. Do you think that might be the cause?
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.

I'm sorry... I tried to see what was causing the problem, but I wasn't able to figure it out. Some causes are much easier to identify than others, and this is an obscure one. Typically I look for missing data in the save file, or vestigial modding data, but I didn't find anythign like that. The only odd thing about what you sent is the .bak files that were in the save folder (many of them)... this is not generated by Stardew Valley so I'm not sure what's going on there...
Hi, can you send me your save file? It's located in %appdata%/StardewValley/Saves ... just zip the whole folder with your character's name on it... you could upload it to a filesharing site like dropbox or google drive and share the link with me here. I'll see if I can discover anything or help you out
Hi everyone,
A new bug fix patch (1.4.3) just went live on Steam & GOG. It just fixes a few mostly minor bugs that were lingering in 1.4:
– Fixed an issue where you could collect multiples of a bundle’s reward in the community center if you closed the menu without collecting them.
– Fixed an issue where naming your pet the name of an NPC could have your pet appear on the calendar on that NPC’s birthday.
– Fixed an item duplication exploit when using the add to existing stacks button on an inventory with a full stack.
– Made some fixes to the Turkish localization.
– Fixed a bug in the Crafting Menu that could cause extra resources to be consumed in certain situations.
– Adjusted the Four Corners farm map to fix layering issue with buildings.
– Fixed a bug where you could enter Wizard’s Tower before unlocking the Community Center.
– Taking a map screenshot while the option to show menu backgrounds is on will no longer render the menu in t...
Hey, you did a really great job on this (and the other two)! Even though the instrumentation is obviously very different, you were able to be faithful to the originals in all the important ways but then expanded on them very tastefully, I appreciate that. Thanks for sharing
cool idea! I'll keep it in mind... thank you!
Bug report: 1.4.2, Single-player, PC, Steam
I just
passed outdied in the skull cavern and didn't lose anything other than the 1,000g Harvey takes. Not sure if this is a bug or something that randomly happens.Edit: I was able to replicate the issue two more times - died two more times on separate days, still didn't lose anything other than some gold to Harvey.
Your chance to lose items is random, so you probably just got lucky and didn't lose any items. It can happen! The fewer items you have on you, the less likely you are to lose anything.
I've removed all problematic mods, but when I feed that....raccoon thing in Cindersap, it plays the cutscene then freezes, glitches, and crashes the game...
Any ideas?
Are you on version 1.4.2? If not, is the current day a festival in town? There was a crash in 1.4.0 if you triggered that event while a festival was being set up in town. If you are up to date and/or it's not a festival, my next guess would be mods, but if you'd like to send over an error log (%appdata%/StardewValley/ErrorLogs) you can DM that to me and I might be able to tell you more or discover a bug. Thanks
I'm on ps4. Was it patched out on ps4? If unintentional, will it get restored?
I might be able to get it back in on consoles, but the reason it was patched out on consoles was because there were certain cases where the exploit could cause a crash, and that was apparently preventing the game from passing the console certification (PC platforms don't have a certification process like that). Just so you know, consoles don't yet have the 1.4 update, but it should be coming very soon
The Item Glitch/Exploit isn't working. I know I'm putting it in perfectly. I believe the patch, patched, them out accidentally. Can anyone verify? I'm using [74][164][645].
it was not patched out intentionally on PC
