Welcome back! It looks like you are getting the dreaded BattlEye Corrupted Memory #0 Error. The FAQ says:

BattlEye detects that your game’s or system’s memory is not what it is supposed to be.
Close all unnecessary programs running on the system, scan your system for viruses/trojans/spyware and check your RAM for possible defects (using tools like Memtest86).
If that doesn’t help a full repair reinstallation of your system is likely needed.

I would suggest starting there and let me know if anything changes.

Something is definitely not right. This is your route to Las Vegas - about 5,500km

Shaw is routing you all the way to Equinix Chicago and handing you off to Level3 (with plenty of packet loss) to take you back to Las Vegas.

Shaw is part of internet exchanges in Seattle and San Jose - both of which would be much faster into Las Vegas. Perhaps they are doing some extended maintenance. It might be worth an email or phone call to their ...

To be fair, the difference between all of those locations is only a few hundred kilometers. I suppose the closer you can get to Switch the better.

The issues we fixed were related to packet loss within the Las Vegas datacenter. Losing packets, especially those that keep the client and the server in sync, would cause the "Server Latency" value in the UI to jump to ridiculous values (tens of thousands).

It's difficult to guess what particular issue you are having, but I recommend running a traceroute or following the advice given below and let me know what your route looks like (via reply or PM).

64.37.174.142 is the address of one of several gateway servers that host players on Connery. They are physically located in Las Vegas.

A BSOD will almost always be caused by something running in kernel mode. It is extremely rare to have something in the user space cause a BSOD. Like all other Windows applications, Planetside2 runs in the user space. I would not expect any application developer to be able to help you with a kernel issue.

With that being said, we can do some additional troubleshooting. If the problem is only happening with Planetside2, I suspect the problem is with BattleEye. BattleEye has several pieces, but one of them is a driver (that runs in Kernel mode) that starts when Planetside2 starts.

As others have mentioned in this thread, I recommend the ...

I didn't want to respond to OP until I heard back from BattleEye. This is indeed the issue. They are working on a fix for this today.

When i tracer cobalts IP i get a huge increase when it reaches 80.157.129.202. Other users in germany suggest it is because Deutsche Telekom has very bad peering. My Cobalt name is BlauesAuge

Edit: I once tried using a VPN from my University when i had realy bad ping. With the VPN my ping went down to ~80.

Thank you for the information. If you have some free time today, could you please send me a PM with the full traceroute? Much appreciated!

No, not public unfortunately.

Here you go. Connery is in Las Vegas. Definitely worse than AMS in terms of overall latency, although Connery is the most diverse in terms of physical connection distances.

Both Miller and Cobalt are physically located in Amsterdam. Here is a chart I put together showing the average latency of all players into both worlds between 9 PM and 10 PM CEST tonight.

The chart shows that about 50% of the people had 50ms or better, and about 80% had 70 ms or better. Assuming you were at 130ms for that hour, you would be in the bottom 5% of all players. Definitely not good and not normal.

It could be a problem unique to your route into the datacenter, or there could be congestion in the datacenter itself (we had similar problems with Orange and Deutsche Telekom in the past). If you don't mind sharing one of your character names (via reply or PM), I can do a bit more digging to see if anyone else is having similar issues.

As far as server latency go...

Thanks. I'm hoping that if I keep up the good work they will offer me a full time position at the end of the summer.

Sorry you are having trouble getting into the game. If you don't mind sharing one of your character names here (or privately via PM), I can take a look on our end and see if I can help.

Edit - Thanks for the information. Good news is that this crash has only affected 9 people in the last week. Bad news is those 9 people are crashing ALL the time. Looks like it is a conflict between our in-game chat (Vivox) and something else running on those PCs. Hope to have more information for you when folks return from holiday tomorrow.

Hi - just to verify - you were seeing these problem when playing on Indar, correct?

Aye, the Cobalt/Indar zone process is having issues. We are looking into it. Miller/Amerish and Miller/Hossin have similar populations and are running great. Cobalt/Amerish is also running well.

No love for Indar.

edit Downvote me all you want. Doesn't change the fact that Connery's hardware runs like shit.

We spent a good part of the last three days debugging this and it appears to be a network configuration issue on one of the underlying gateway servers. Packets are getting dropped in the datacenter, which is the reason why your latency is so high.

It looks like this is affecting about 12.5% of the population at any one time - I would recommend relogging if you continue to have problems, as this should put you on a different gateway.

We hope to have a fix for this during the next downtime as well.

That's right on topic and something I mentioned in my post. Working on it, yes.

while on dasanfall it does: http://stats.dasanfall.com/ps2/player/VerdTre

Tengu-P and Nightshade arent showing up on either.

Right. I mentioned in the original post that the players site is not working.

I'm seeing the Horizon, Tengu-P, and Nightshade now on Fisu, and the Horizon and Tengu-P on Dasanfall. Not sure why the Nightshade is still missing from Dasanfall though - might need one more sync on their end.
