I found that anything after a : gets cut, and doesn't display
This is indeed a known bug that we're looking into.
I can't promise it will be fixed in time for Patch 0.8.2, but I'm hopeful.

This is definitely a fair criticism initially - however if you keep breaking the same rule, you work your way up the ‘penalty volcano’.
We try to have a light hand at first, but we expect people to learn from initial moderation. Continually breaking the same rule will see progressively harsher responses administered.
I don’t understand the necessity of censoring names, someone feel free to explain to me their point of view.
To me, you’ve said those things on a public platform, a platform you know is being recorded. Why shouldn’t this person be held accountable for his words?
So much hate is given under the shield of anonymity.

So, there's a few reasons.
Please understand that it's the weekend - and 11:30 at night where I live - but to list off a few at the top of my head;
It's so strange to me that people feel the need to be jerks in public chat channels. Especially people who seem to spend hours at a time just posting trolling posts like "PoE is better." over and over again. But I guess revilement is a form of connection and empowerment for some sad folks out there.
So great to hear there are tools coming to make reporting faster and easier.
Yeah, I feel sorry for folks who look forward to the weekend to do... that.
Great to know this is coming down the pipeline. I figured I'd have to turn global chat off as the game got busier, but maybe not.
I can't promise there'll never be any objectionable language or behaviour in chat, but we'll definitely be making improvements.
this morning there were people openly abusing the lack of chat moderation by posting extremely racist comments that seemed to be one-uping each other to see how far they could go before they got banned.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I can't honestly claim to have personally seen it.
We do action reports we receive as appropriate, as well as sometimes having staff quietly monitoring chat. We do care about doing better here.
You know you're hitting the big time when you have to spend more and more time devoted to smoothing people's social behaviors.
John, thanks for taking this on, if you all handle this subject they way you've handled everything else with Last Epoch it'll be straight up Grade A.

Today a member of the community posted here on r/LastEpoch to share their concerns regarding in-game moderation - which is, of course, fine. Regretfully, the post also included screenshots of in-game chat to 'name and shame' individual people - which is not.
As we had to action the thread for a rules violation, I am creating this thread so that the community has a place to openly discuss our policies, the moderation of our in-game chat, and the current process of how people bring inappropriate behaviour to our attention.

I don't believe it's available yet, though if there's sufficient interest I could see us either uploading a handful of individual tracks to YouTube, or uploading a WIP soundtrack to the website and making it available through the Account page of our website.

I think it's unlikely, unfortunately - if we provided a way for paying customers to see the entire game from that angle, we would have to perform a large amount of work ensuring that every zone in the game looks reasonable when doing so. For an indie team that's a large project with significant opportunity costs, and one that would likely limit the way in which we can optimize certain art assets.
