Maybe they can do it with webcams next time. I really missed the visuals.

A goal for next week! Much of my time was taken up working with our other producers to do what I can for the show this Friday.

Hey all, Depa here, Producer on the show. Taking a moment to thank everyone for the feedback on EUphoria so far— it's really helpful being able to hop in the threads and see where we can work to improve.

There are a few questions that people have raised about EUphoria so far this year, and I wanted to take a moment to answer them as I have in previous threads!

With questions of having guests on the show— I want to quash the speculation. We are not intentionally looking to reduce the role of guests on our show. We're still committed to providing a space for our players and professional staff on the podcast as we were last year.

Usually our first two episode of the season rely on our on-air talent team for their predictions and tierlists, as the players are prepping for the first weeks of show. In Episodes 3 & 4, Peter Dun and Caedrel were incredible to have— but in hindsight, I should have scheduled Peter to stick around with us for recording for a longer ...

Hey, thanks for all the work, I love the euphoria podcast! I would ask, as a audio only listener could we get a bit more introduction when some people talk, for instance in this episode when the rookies were talking, I have no idea what the rookies sound like, I know all their names though, maybe start with "hi I'm (player)..." Then go into the segment.

This is super awesome to hear, no pun intended!

One of my big goals for this season is identifying where we can do a better job for our audio-only listeners, as... after all, we are a podcast!

This is a great callout, and as we look to having more micro-interviews in this style, we'll be sure to take this into account. Let me know if you have other thoughts on what would make the experience better for you as an audio-only listener!

If you don't mind me asking, how are the new things like breaks coming across from your perspective?

Hopefully we can have Peter join us for more episodes of the show in the future! /u/pcdv8r, you down? :)

Hey friends! Since we're in the second week of EUphoria I wanted to take the chance to say that a lot of changes are in store for this season. A new time (Thursdays, 12pm), a new set (soon TM), and new topics to provide a deeper look into the world of Europe's competitive scene.

As we keep at it, please feel free to comment or hop into my messages here to let us know what you think.

Also, as Drakos teased at the end of the show, I may be in charge of planning the outcome of this bet come the end of the split. I'm open to any and all suggestions. :)

I made a comment in the last thread with updates to EUphoria in Season 5— you can check it out here!

TL;DR - Among other changes in the show for this season, changes in our talent lineup in the LEC have had some impact on EUphoria as well. For now, Drakos is the series' only regular host, and our "co-host seat" will regularly feature the guests that we have on the LEC.

I'll pop in and take this question! I'm Triaged— the Producer for Season 5 of EUphoria, and a Broadcast Producer for the LEC. I hope you don't mind that I'm using the answer to this question as a jumping-off point to discuss some of the other changes in EUphoria this season...

This year brings changes to our talent lineup on the LEC which extend to EUphoria. More information on this is coming out in our Spring 2020 talent announcement releasing soon(tm), so I'll try to answer to the best of my abilities without spoiling information that hasn't been released yet.

In Season 5 of the podcast, Drakos will serve as the series' only regular host. The former "co-host seat” will now feature a rotation of familiar and new faces to the show; it will mostly go to the special guests that we have on our analyst desk on the LEC.

For this weekend on the LEC broadcast, Yamatocannon will be joining us on the analyst desk— and as such we have him joining Drakos on EUphoria f...

Lots of new changes coming for this EUphoria season, a new set, new guests and more focused content. Let me know what you think and also if you have any great ideas for EUphoria that you would love to share.

For those asking, here are each of the respective tier lists Imgur

And as always, if you ask questions that are answered by listening to the podcast, I'll call you a clown. Much love!

Hijacking Drakos' comment here for a second to introduce myself!

I'm John "Triaged" Depa, and starting this season, I'm on EUphoria as it's Producer! (Normally I work the weekly LEC broadcast, and I now do this in addition!)

You may see me appear in these threads from time to time to answer questions. If you have anything production-related that you'd like to share or ask, feel free to give me a shout!

Right, TIL.

I edited my comment to clarify.

I'm taking it you're involved with the LEC production team. Just wanted to thank you for making the LEC such an amazing experience! Loving the consistency of designs - really great content. You guys have kinda ruined other Leagues for me.

Do Design Studio regularly update the graphics? Because I feel like over the course of the season I've seen new graphics/transitions and some such.

I'm one of the Producers at the LEC. Small disclaimer as I try to summarise below, I work more closely on the broadcast side of this relationship, and am not overly familiar with the fine details of the collaboration that we do, as it is part of our brand team!

Our graphics team in-house updates and designs our graphics to work in our graphics renderer that we use on our show, VizRT. Some graphics (like Live Gold Difference or Champion Select) require further collaboration with our stats, IT, and game teams, too.

Frequently Design Studio will give us new items or elements to utilise, and we also split up work for certain videos. (We produce a lot of our video content in house, and on some pieces we have Design Studio collaboration, like our start of season hype vids!) If our internal teams are a bit busy; having trouble coming up with a design that fits the LEC designs; or are trying to make something that isn't within our own expertise, we work closely with the coo...

The LEC production team doesn't design the LEC layout. Design Studio, who also designed layouts for the UEFA Champions League or the PL do. Riot likely doesn't have a contract with them for international events, only for the LEC.

Hey, just popping in to clarify this point on Design Studio. While we work with Design studio for developing our brand at the LEC (colours, typeface, transitions, visual motifs) we create our own graphics and designs around this in-house and are able to modify/utilise as we see fit.

While Design Studio has given us a branding style and some cool tools to play with (transitions, shapes, typefaces), all of the broadcast graphics you see on air were designed and programmed by our teams!

We don't utilise the LEC branding on Worlds, as the event itself has its own branding team which is region agnostic. It's a bit weird to picture, but there is one centralised team that is making the event, and then all of the broadcast regions are producing their coverage of the show with separate teams by adding their own casters/analysts on top of it, including the English Language broadcast!

Today we conclude our look back at Schalke 04's run in the 2018 EU LCS Playoffs, with their finals match against FNC in Madrid.

Separate from all of the Star Wars puns that Trevor will be throwing your way in today's episode, Summer 2018 was by no means a smooth split for Fnatic. With Caps still on the team, Bwipo following in the footsteps of Soaz, and Rekkles back on the bench after removing himself from play for few weeks due to the meta, it really felt like anything could happen on the stage in Madrid.

Alas, S04 did not manage to take the victory, despite holding up throughout much of the fourth game of this series. Flash forward a year, and their finals dream is still alive as they go up against Rogue later today. I am looking forward to seeing if S04 can keep their dream of correcting the record alive, or if Rogue is able to shut down their hopes of standing on the stage next week in Athens.

Catch today's episode of match history about one hour befor...
