On another note, we all appreciate everything all of you guys are doing.I'm pushing fifty years old, and this is one of the best games i've ever played.

Hey there, yes, there was a patch alongside the Titans launch that should have addressed many of the core issues at play here. We are still receiving some reports of crashing, but thankfully a lot less. If there are instances giving you issues, please report them and we'll keep digging! While the team is starting into the next big project (some big DLC sometime next year), we are still watching community posts and keeping our ear to the Colonial HQ.

That's no good! We're inspect this situation and see if there's an outlying factor that has somehow prevented the marker from appearing for you.

I'm running the segment where the marker gets assigned, and I'm not able to prevent it from getting assigned. Obviously, the issue exists because it happened to you, so I'm looking for additional insight. Were there any interactions or tasks that you were doing at the time of progressing the mission that may have interfered with it? This is a hard question so don't feel the need to dig too deeply on it, though any info gives us a better sense how this happened and how we can fix it.

Hello pilots! It's time for a recap of what's been going on - and we're hitting you with an even more tightly condensed format to honor your time. So if you've got a couple minutes to spare, then this'll go down nicely.

Shoutout to Garry for absolutely dominating this one with some solid coordination from our marketing and editing staff.

Enjoy our latest summer shenanigans, and don't stop being awesome!

Just a quick update: today I reshuffled my primary and secondary weapons a little bit on the Bomber (did not touch any modules) and voilà - the chain lightning is working again. I guess one script or another must have been stuck.

Btw, is there a limit on how many audio tracks UE5 can mix down at any time? I seem to lose some of them during particularly busy encounters. For example, the missile lock-on sound at Dreadnought events. I may be able to hear it at first, but then I lose it. Turning around to see if they are still on my tail is not a good idea - I learned that the hard way.

Glad to know this has resolved, though we'll keep an eye on it to see if we can somehow get it stuck again.

Regarding audio tracks: Yes, there is an inevitable limit, and this is common in many games, with a slew of exceptions based on the game's intent. We like to push the capabilities to the limit for the most immersive experiences, though there are limits that simply cannot be exceeded. It gets really techy and detailed why these systems and sounds work this way, but the short of it is based on functionality, optimization, and performance.

Thanks very much for checking. I must be imagining things then... although the pulsating sound-effect from the chain lightning is pretty unmistakable. I have no trouble seeing (and hearing) it at work when I use EMP missiles. And I am quite sure it worked with mines before the update.

Alright, I'll keep this one in my sights and dig a tad deeper. If something is off, we'll find it!

Please let me know about the EMP mines if you can. FWIW, EMP missiles (i. e. Whirlwind) still trigger the Thundercore chain-lightning.

We double-checked on our end and Thundercore's ability is working on enemies affected by EMP mines, though keep in mind the duration from the mines is shorter than the EMP missiles and the EMP device itself.

Did you change EMP Mines intentionally? They don't seem to trigger the Thundercore effect anymore.

Also, the game still fails to honor the choice of "Mute audio when focus is lost", every restart has it reset to mute.

Thanks for the reports, we'll check these out.

DLC content starts revealing itself around the mid-game, somewhere around level 15-18, but is also accessible in the late-game. Entering supralight will trigger the DLC missions provided you have progressed far enough in the story.

Player level is unchanged. The DLC content is accessible mid-game, around level 15-18, but also replayable in the level 30 end-game/post-game.

EVERSPACE 2 has just received an update to address a slew of bugs, fixed a scaling issue with the Smoke and Mirrors mission, addressed stability issues regarding Xbox series S cutscenes causing crashes, and applied community requests like a retroactive increase to the Homebase's storage capacity.

  • PS5 Known Issue: A visual error in Zharkov incorrectly displays the storm and lens flares in the system. We opted to bring the update and DLC to you first, with a fix for this soon after.

The Titans DLC brings two new mid-game storylines to the star systems of Cluster 34. These adventures surrounding the fearsome Dreadnought and mysterious Leviathan introduce new gear alongside repeatable experiences unlocked by completing each story.

The DLC launches at $14.99 / €14.99 / £12.99 / ¥1700 and is fully voiced in English and German.

Hi, any news on this one? I've been really enjoying playing but now I'm stuck with an 100% crash every time the cut scene for Counter Measures ends and goes into gameplay. Game is quite crashy already, especially in high-combat encounters (XBox Series S).

Related: How long does it take between a fix being coded for release and the binaries hitting the Microsoft store for update? Just curious!

Hey there. We've got an update we'll be applying around the same time as the Titans DLC launches, which is in approximately 2 hours and 18 minutes from now.

There are a number of issues between fixing and applying for Microsoft certification. Fixing can sometimes be done relatively quickly, depending on the issue. Certification can be a tricky space to navigate, since the process takes a lot of time to ensure gets through. Asking for more certifications over and over slows down development quite a lot, which is why the update and the DLC launch are happening in tandem since both gone through the pipeline of certification at the same time.

Appreciate the praise, but let it be known I am also validating your frustration in not being able to play. I only wish we could get this fixed sooner. Your patience and your support is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your report. You'll be pleased to hear this is a priority item we are looking to get fixed, and we're hopeful of a solution that is going through the channels to get to you guys. We can only ask for your patience to get it into the system, which looks like it'll be available around the same time the Titans DLC comes out (September 16th).

I think the devs need to do abit more console optimization cause this is a very recent thing game worked perfectly before this most recent update

We isolated a bug recently, and we are aiming to have a fix hopefully in time for Titans.

The patch literally adds the ability to purchase the Supporter Pack, but we're still cracking into known bugs ... as well as a slew of new content getting prepped for September!

Unfortunately no, the left ctrl in this case is not configurable. However, there is an alternate means to mark items for multi-selection:

  • Go to the inventory screen.
  • Expand view by holding down B.
  • Mark items by pressing R.
  • Dismantle all by holding X.

Through this means, there may be something possible to configure, since these controls are bound by default as selection options in other ways. Changing those default options to something else should theoretically adjust them here too. I admit I haven't had a chance to test this yet, but I'm hoping to here in a little bit to see if it works.
