Once you log out of the game, your follower will go back to its home location, which is the last guard spot it got designated. If it doesn’t appear, please wait until the server restarts, which will also reset all followers to their guarded location. If they still don’t appear this way, make sure to check the event log (in the pause menu) to see of something else happened to them.

We’re aware of this issue and we’re looking into it. Until then, there’s a reported workaround for this issue, which is to drop all your belongings in a nearby container and remove your bracelet. This will kill your character but also get rid of this issue.

It is possible that you died while being offline. If your base is built in a hostile environment like the volcano, it’s possible you died out of environmental damage. Make sure to tuck in all your valuables in a nearby chest or container before logging out to prevent situations like this.
If it’s on a private server of your own, you can choose to not let offline characters stay in world to avoid this situation.

A player informed us of a possible workaround for this issue that worked for them. They kicked out some members of their clan and then invited them back again. This seemed to get the purge spawn for them after weeks stuck in that loop. Hope that’ll help you out while our team is looking into it.

We’re aware of this issue and we’re investigating.
Until then, a player with a similar issue suggested a workaround that worked for them: if you can, kick from your clan some of its members and add them again shortly after. This should get rid of this ghost purge issue if the affected members have been kicked and invited again.
