Everyone had a bit of a panic moment there but just to let folks know this is not a bug, this is just a regular broadcast and is not a world first broadcast as completing tier 10 is quite the achievement like hitting 200m.
This group is an unranked Regular Group Ironman which would be why they have been able to get this achievement done (and why there hasn't been other popups for the other achieves).
idk if that applies to GiM but i think its for normal ironmans
It's just normal ironman stuff at the moment but we have passed on a request to allow it to show the GIM stuff as well
Hotfix - Unranked group ironmen can now receive XP from the Halloween event, and ranked group ironmen will no longer receive a token amount of XP from the archaeology activity.
Please note that unranked ironmen players are those who have created/joined or are part of a group with players who were previously regular Ironman accounts and no unranked ironman player exists on the hiscores.

Existing Ironmen who previously have completed certain tasks (such as completing Cook’s Assistant) will now have their progress reflected on their journey achievement upon relog.
Doing a relog should solve it, basically a new music track was added to an achieve and so you login, the check says your missing the music track, you then unlock the track. Doing a relog does the check again and solves it.

Following up, relogging shouldnt solve it right at this moment but team has been able to reproduce this issue and are working on a resolution.

Read more External link →Launch time is expected to be the regular 11:15 UK time launch. Thanks to the clocks changing today it is also 11:15 gametime. The update will take a few mins longer then regular as we will be making extra backups of things but should be back only 10-20 mins after it goes down.
This is all on the presumption that things go without any issues, we have taken precautions and prepared things ahead of time but there is always a low chance something comes up and we have to react, in that event we will be communicating with players here and on our social channels about any developing situations.

In the section about Journey, the list for tier 1 says all members of a group have to complete Restless Ghost. In the picture of the tier 1 Journey it says only one group member needs to complete Restless Ghost. Which of these is accurate for launch? My concern is if a member of the team plays less or quits early, will we have to remove them from the group to continue progressing the Journey?
It's one, I will be updating the wording in the post shortly.

What's the minimum? Can we try and come up with 3 letter abbreviations or is there a minimum amount of characters required? What about capitals? If I were to name the group "GIMabc" would all 3 first letters be caps or only the G?
I guess the Minimum is 1 letter

Read more External link →Hey Folks, As we mentioned in the recent AMA this topic has come up as part of the conversation around GIM and while its not something that is essential for the GIM launch as any players who wish to take part in GIM will be able to do so regardless of if they opted to never deiron, it is something we have been discussing.
With the implementation of Jagex accounts bringing updated security options to the situation we aim to implement a method for Ironman players to transition to "mains" in the future. We will likely be taking on a similar approach on how it should be implemented but this will not be something that's available for the launch of GIM next week.
Almost no patches for 2 weeks now. I guess it's all hands on deck for GIM.

Its not ideal but we are doing what we can to keep things on track for the launch, there is so many moving pieces and systems involved in launching a game mode like GIM that we are likely being a little overly cautious.

Yup, has been sorted.
this was talked about last week and the jmod said they don't know how they are going to make it obtainable in gameplay and they were taking suggestions. lmao
I said it wasn't locked in exactly how, there is several ideas and suggestions floating around and some are more solid then the others but which one exactly hasn't been locked in stone. The plan is to have it come from a source of gameplay similar to other skilling outfits.
Some people are suggesting rituals others as drops from necromancy themed mobs or bosses etc. At the moment we are chatting on the topic and taking on any interesting suggestions players have.
Festivities at the Harvest Hollow are well underway and GIM is arriving on 28 Oct! While we wait check out the drop rates for the Gate of Elidinis!
