No assumptions then haha! Nice to see another Jmod interacting with the community, it's amazing that a game of this size can have such close and real interactions.

Nearly be bedtime for you lot? GN, sleep well and have a pleasant weekend.

Yep bed time just about now. Thanks, have fun playing and have a great weekend too!

It was part funny part true, I genuinely love seeing players devoting their time to our game! Almost total lvl 2k, GL!

Interesting. "I'm part of the Tech Services that build features that all our games/services use (web stuff, mostly, that support our sites/forums/games)."

My first guess: Potentially to be announced as part of the upcoming account security blog as working on solutions as a point of contact for our concerns?

Nó nó.. nó assumptions. I'm still very very new here but I like engaging with the community. Thanks for the tag /u/good_duck_4

Maybe might be your area to bring up and see if its possible?

Hey there! Something like this is significant dev work to get up and running, and by the looks of it we have many higher priority things to do in our backlog. As you know, I'm also new here so my knowledge is limited.

As a dev myself, I'd like to hear a bit more about that, any examples on tools you guys and gals make?

If it is things like RuneMetrics/Adventure log for rs3, I'm just going to shamelessly toss out a thing on my wishlist in the hope that it sticks somewhere in the back of your mind!

I'd love to have a completed quest list available through the osrs API. I'd like to make an adapting quest requirement page for the wiki! :)

Basically the whole website is made by the Tech Services (not the game). That's a cool idea, but again, I'm pretty new and don't want to promise anything.

Manually setting the language to English does work, but (as best as I can recall) I also believe the language setting reverts back to Spanish if a significant amount of time passes since my last visit to the website. For example, I only recently started playing again, but I tended to check the website every 2-3 months (#nostalgia), and the website was almost always in Spanish (I don't clear cookies that often, so I don't suspect that would be the cause).

Also, I just attempted to replicate this on Safari and Firefox (on my Mac) and was unable to. I will attempt to replicate on IE and Firefox (Windows) once I'm back at my desktop.

One last thing: I'm noticing at the moment that only part of the page is in Spanish. For example, "continue to website" in the top right and "play now" in the top center and bottom center are in Spanish, while the ac...

Well, that's pretty darn weird. Thanks for the feedback, we'll try to replicate that here! Let me know if you can do the same in Safari/Firefox

I've been on that side of the river. I'm cool with memes!

Thanks! Glad to be here too. I don't think I'll be introduced in any stream, as I'm not directly in any OSRS team (and there's not much need for it either) - I'm part of the Tech Services that build features that all our games/services use (web stuff, mostly, that support our sites/forums/games).

For real though, can you clean up the state of account security while you're there? :/

Since I'm very - very - new here, I don't have any significant input to give you on that, and I'd rather not comment and potentially say something that is wrong.

Not sure if it Jagex internally classifies it as a department, but I meant the the Old School team. They host the OSRS Q&A stream and usually new staff members to that team do an introduction.

Ah! While there are super organised departments, I'm in the Tech Services, so I'm not directly tied into any of our games/services, but instead I develop features that those games/services rely on. Does that clear it up? (This might mean I won't get introduced in stream)

Good to hear. :)

I assume that we get your official introduction on the next Q&A stream then, correct? Or are you from another department?

Not sure actually. What department was the assumption?

Hey. You gotcha, new account, new mod, yes - excited to engage with y'all.

Hi /u/zVeesha and welcome to OSRS! I kinda envy you - there's yet so much for you to discover in-game!

Other users have answered your questions, but I want to add that if you go to our website you can see how many players are online at that exact moment, a feature I've always loved since way back in '05 when I started.
