What the other person said is correct, our News Module is pretty old and there's a character limit on what we're able to include. Also means that every post has to be HTMLed before going out since there's no GUI or anything like that.

Accessibility for people using screen readers especially is a point I'd be keen to raise, I'd love to see us find a way to modernise a little because it'd be huge QOL when it comes to posting blogs.

Witchcrafty not missing, as per!

Cheers for all the feedback leading up to this point. Was an absolute pleasure to work on the Design and Poll blogs, excited to keep the conversation going closer to release and hopefully deliver something fun for different types of players!

Other reply covers the OP, but just wanted to say that I'm just a CM, not part of any specific team! I think a lot of people associate me with PvP because the content I've been attached to has been in that realm, but it's not a requirement! Have been involved with a whole bunch of things way outside the realm of PvP, and more than happy to take questions about other parts of the game (though not always able to reply or comment as an individual)

Our final question involves the Wilderness! We want to give PvPers a bit more accessibility by enabling the Special Attack Orb wherever you choose to fight other players – in the Wilderness, on PvP worlds, or inside PvP minigames like Last Man Standing or the Emir’s Arena.

This method would still be slower than the classic route in the Combat Options tab, but will allow players to choose how they feel most comfortable using their special attacks.

What does this mean? How would it be slower?

Probably not ideal wording choice, but think the intent is to suggest that short of being an Osu! monster it's likely going to be much quicker to switch and spec using F-keys and proper inventory setups (especially when so many players have been building this muscle memory for years) then to switch and move your mouse all the way up to the orb and then click opponent etc.

Feels more like an accessibility/consistency point (as well as good for mobile) to try and cut down on something functioning super differently in PvP than the wider game.

When I saw his first draft that bit really caught me off-guard but glad it stayed in. Tutorial Island is not for the faint of heart...

We did! Haven't done a single bit of work with creators since starting where somebody's not been paid what they asked for (or more)

For what it's worth if you check today's newspost or our socials or the Game Status page, we're planning on a reboot tomorrow at 11:30am BST (no downtime expected) where we plan to revert this , given that it was an unintended side effect of other changes (as per Kieren's comment on another thread).

Appreciate your reasoning, worth noting that they've always been intended as multi bosses (and take reduced damage if they're not in a multi-way combat zone even currently) and that we're including/adding single-way combat alternatives to all of the bosses in question which will likely prove safer than the current iterations.

Absolute legend. Gz on finishing probation, you've been killing it. We're all gonna be really sad when some bigger company poaches you for 4x the pay.

Thanks for the kind words! No plans on leaving any time soon, would have to be a pretty unreal offer to have me on the fence in any capacity!

The 'Jmod Reply' flair is a little more noticeable, at least I always felt before I started here! And when I wrote tthe post I wasn't sure it would get stickied since it's not a typical post we'd expect

My main problem is that the core issue of it being in multi still remains. As a mainly non-wilderness player with many boss kills (who also has done ~50 vet'ion with intended mechanics) that doesn't mind going in for clues/low-risk and even pk'd green dragon bots back in the glory days, I'm just not going to engage with this content if it is in multi. The why is quite simple: There are not fair engagements in multi. If you play intelligently and you're in singles, you can usually find a crafty way to escape negative situations even against multiple players. It doesn't matter how I would play it in multi, unless I'm in full bulwark max tank gear and get super lucky I'm just going to die while getting flamed.

The stated goal of housing it in multi is to "breathe some new life into the multi-PvP community, an area that's been lacking attention for some time." Revenants already tried this, and the biggest "life" of it was gold farming Venes vs RoT, unless the team thinks that ...

Just for curiosity's sake - are you likely to engage with the Singles alternatives we've outlined in the Design Blog?

We're not! That's why we're polling it, if it proves popular then it'll be further explored, if not then no worries!

Does this apply to both, single and multi bosses?

Is the kind of detail we'd likely hash out in the future blog, but I'd imagine that's something we could offer if this turned out to be a super popular choice

That's only one of the potential options we'd consider exploring in a future poll, there are still others we're keen for thoughts on that do essentially boil down to 'kill revenants'. Reminder that Question #11 is just an opinion gauge to inform another poll, and isn't binding in-and-of itself!

Hope to see others feel this way, this feels like a nicer approach all-around (though it means I have to write another poll blog in the near future and ruin somebody's day with bad jokes).
