The 'us vs them' mentality comes from PVMers waiting 4 years for a new PVM experience that isnt reskinned existing content or rs3 port. All the while watching every PVP update and DMM crash, burn, and get exploited for hundreds of bills which ruins the game's economy. Voting against PVP updates actually benefits PVMers in a tangible way; and Jagex created this dynamic.

I'm not sure I'm able to share the current %s, but I'd wager it's propbably higher than you'd expect.
I'm not particularly interested in 'trying to force PvP' on anybody, and think some of the changes like alternative sources for the D Pick go some way to 'decoupling' risky content with a potential for PvP from what many feel to be core progression. I'm more interested in trying to provide content for those who would and do choose to PvP or engage in risky content that's worth their time, which many feel is a mark that's been missed for quite a while now.
I never used to be interested in PvP at all either, Bounty Hunter got me pretty good though and I enjoyed playing the same game I know and love in a totally different way. I think ultimately the goal is to remove the word 'forced' from any of these discussions and have PvP or PvP-adjacent content feel like a choice worth making for players who are so-inclined, and add to the ...
