Below Ice Mountain was my first proper solo project, but Giants' Foundry has been my absolute favourite, it's gone down amazingly and was a blast to work on.

Hey Scapers, I’ve got something I need to tell you and I think you should sit down; this coming Monday will be my last day at Jagex and working on Old School. It has been an absolute roller coaster and working on OS has been dream come true, I can’t think of a happier note to end on with the fantastic launch of the Giants’ Foundry.

I’m still going to be within the Games Industry as I’ll be moving onto another project for a franchise I love just as much as Old School RuneScape. The past almost three years working on the game have been fantastic and I’ve learned so much from the team, the projects I’ve been able to work on throughout the years have been incredible (I even got to name an entire city after myself).

Mod Dylan is working on a little rewrite for how these Sweet spots show up, to stop this behavior happening, it's a bit tricky but hopefully he'll get it in for next weeks update.

We're adding the ability to reclaim it from Perdu in next weeks update, I've seen a comment about Void but that can be protected via Trouver so it's very fair that its reclaimable.

Adding an existing skill definitely a lot safer and OSRS does have need for something like divination to be an item sink, I could see it happening at some point.

I don't think so, I think if the polls were less Black and White and blogs were earlier into the design process we'd have a better chance of getting a new skill.

Lets work together to nail down a concept for the skill, sailing as a great example, present it as an overall thing we'd like to implement, but have it be the first step, that way we've got the backup of the community that we're working on something that's going to be liked and have polls at milestones for design, if smaller things fail, fine, lets pivot that design. There are some problems of course, like if we can't do something due to development constraints it could seriously change the original pitch, but being open about that would allow us to come up with a solution with the community.

This way we don't chuck loads of dev time into something that has a fair chance of failing and by the time we get to the final round of polling, we've got a skill that the community are ingrained into the design of a...

Definitely agree, a skill shouldn't just be this new thing that you can do in lots of ways, it should become a core part of the game and fuel future content, which can use the skill as a tool.
The best skills are so ingrained into every element of the game that it makes sense it's something you need to become better at by training it.

Not gonna lie, a ball and chain weapon that you launch at NPC's and then drag back as the recharge would be so cool, a strength/range weapon would be incredible!

If you leave the Foundry while working on a sword, it'll also be auto stored in the Preform-storage for you!
