With all xmas related NPC's.. just because it is possible :)

One day I'd like to stitch all the land of snow pockets of maps together!

What’s the difference, is there an advantage for being able to turn in at a specific time, and how does that play with time zones?

The two hour window is just a for-fun bit of flair. Couple of fireworks, couple of laughs, but it is in no way required to be there. You can claim your reward during and any time after :)

why? why?

it should be way more than 2hrs, at minimum 1 day to hand in. not everybody can get on at those timeslots... or am I reading this wrong?

The two hours is just a window where you can see some of the build up. You can claim your reward any time during and after the window has passed.

Super cool! I take it this was your quest then? Always excited to see a new one (especially Christmas themed!) from you! Fond memories of the Violet quests.

Don't go in with expectations of a Violet quest, but it hits similar beats and does justice to what we believe is in the spirit of a classic Christmas holiday event.

It's cool and people internally have really enjoyed it.

If that is the last quest someone needs to complete, and its not Christmas, does that mean they have to wait til Christmas to get the Quest cape?

No, it's not required for quest cape.

I assume not part of the Quest Cape then?

Correct. It's in the quest system as a full quest, journal and everything. But no quest points and it doesn't contribute towards quest cape ect

On the Christmas event, while I like the general path forward with this (significant amount of in-game only rewards), I generally dislike a 2 hour window to gain weekly rewards (even if you can catch up during later weeks).

In theory, having a limited time make for a more community feel, but it feels exclusionary. I might be wrong, but just strikes me as odd. Edited: The "catch up" can happen at any time during the week, so my concerns with this are moot.

Black PH is great you can't (directly) pay for more rolls on this (aside from having alts on alts), but I really dislike the release of super rare tradeables. I get it drives player engagement, and likely very beneficial for players getting it, but just doesn't feel good.

Vorkath event is awesome; effectively guaranteed cosmetics, with them being on the drop-table after the fact. Love this; no notes.

On the beta, I really hope there will be functionality in the future ...

It's just a bit of fun and flair, you can go any time after the flair fun event and claim. No need to find a Sunday slot you can attend to catch up.

Each Sunday from 8pm - 10pm Game Time, you can turn in your Nice Points to Santa at his Lodge.

This seems really bad if we're stuck to only being able to get rewards at this time. Which confuses me because of this next paragraph.

You'll also be able to hand in your Nice Points at Santa's Sleigh any time during the week if you can't be there for the communal Lodge opening on reset.

Can I just hand in at any time and claim rewards anytime?

You can claim your reward any time after if you happen to miss the Santa event. It's just a bit of fun flair and you don't miss out on anything by not being there. If you miss it, just rock up whenever after the event has happened and claim.

We're trying something new this year, more details to come, but it is a perm quest, but only playable during Christmas each year

I just pray the Christmas event is better than the Halloween one. Somehow getting rid of the Draynor Manor skilling event made it feel LESS festive and spooky. It felt only slightly related to Halloween at all.

It's a full quest

What about new players who haven't done the 300 quests and haven't accepted that as the game mechanic?

You could just do the quest so it doesn't appear anymore.

Oh trust, for me, this was on the list above War's retreat track. It's unpleasant and continuous.

Have asked for it to be toned right down

Okay hear me out, we have to chop down a christmas tree, fletch a spear, and kill the reindeer with hunting that harass rudolph, we then craft a sleigh to slayer an undead heat meiser, when we get there the sleigh breaks and we smith new hooks for the reins and rune craft the power for the sleigh then we use agility to deliver all the gifts in a night and when we're done we hang the head of our dead foe in our house using construction.

Once you have completed the entire quest you have to complete a captcha on a black screen and you wake up with a sleeping bag at your feet as your rare item.

In short, bring back old school sleeping bags.

wtf

Yeah, just bung all your feedback for the cape here. Things like removing a bit of the curve to make it flat, similar to the older capes ect
