Honestly as a previous hcim, I love the change. I nuked my hcim status only because of this. I will be starting a new hcim sometime soon thanks to this, so thank you! If a lot complain about it, could maybe look into making a ultimate hardcore Ironman(or some other name like extreme hcim to not compete with osrs naming?) where you lose items like before?
New mode could be fun, but no plans.
I also nuked my own HCIM out of fear of losing my items.
Yeah, communication would have been good. I'm personally a bit mixed but mostly in favor as it reduces the prestige but deaths are often enough not your fault, and hopefully more hcim will try pvm now.
To be honest, I've been completely caught up in a project and have blinders on to everything else around me. Did the work a month or so ago and must have been smooth (not bounced back to Dev) for me not to notice :D
Oh god, I didn't even realise this was going out today so had no time to plan comms or reaction to what community feedback might be :D
I hope it's considered a good change. Losing all your items as a Hardcore death was overly punishing and would push players away from continuing as a normal, especially for those who have worked so hard to get gear and augments.
Losing all that must really suck and I can understand the desire to leave the game.

What's your RSN?
Trim is 'Gold' and in that interface on the screenshot, the ability to select 'Gold' is the second slot along in the particles section.
A lot of the 120 capes have yellow particles, so I left them off this to avoid people picking it to have a 'fake trim cape'
The yellow option is the ability to set the gold colours for those that have comped

Haven't really made a full decision, but feel it should be a step up and unlocked with the master max cape variants.

It’s a pretty cool discovery, I’ve certainly never thought that they were runes or seen anyone else translate them. But mod ramen said that it was rare, so this might not be secret he hinted at, unless the rare part was a misdirection
