My accounts was falsely banned for "non approved" client as you mentioned here: https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/11donvi/gambling_bots/jabyjic/?context=3 . What should I do? I know I've only used the official vanilla client and after being banned & unbanned repeatedly on those accounts I switched over to the RuneLite to see if that would stop but I was banned instead. Would appreciate alot if you could help me out.
Ban is correct
Just going purely off of what you as players report and nothing else, there were 66 accounts reported at Nex in the last three days.
Out of those 66 accounts, exactly half were bots (now banned) and the remaining half were regular players.
I can definitely confirm they are being banned, or there'd be much more reported.
Get the bot detector plugin on the runelite hub. Check if the plugin thinks you are a bot. Enter your name in the "predict" and it will give a % chance of your bottitude. If you are under 25% bot, you are safe. Reply here if you are above that.

I noticed you posted your username, and so I just checked, and it says asl4n is 91% real player, 9% unknown bot. the % is based on many things, and this low number is nothing to worry about. According to bot detector, you are safe.
Whilst that plugin provides some interesting analytics, it should be taken with a grain of salt.
You are automatically a bot in the eyes of players if you perform repetitive tasks as part of a repetitive skill without replying to people talking to you.
They're generally gold farmers, but I can definitely have a look.
Banned a fair few angler fish gold farmers in the last half hour.
Assuming that your $5000 came from real-world trading as that appears to be what the ban is for and it is correct.

I don't fully understand, could you explain it a little further? I have two rs3 accounts, my main and this one (the account in question). One created in 2006 and the other 2012? Maybe? Its been a while. I don't see how that is a mass creation. But alas, if the account had been comprised and used for botting then yeah, there is nothing i can do in that sense.

Your ban isn't a high velocity ban though. It's a real world trading ban that happens to be correct.
It appears that you were banned as part of a high velocity ban. This is applied to accounts that are mass created meaning you would have had to have created more than one account to be caught up in that kind of ban.
But, how come a Reddit post was what was required in order for them to be banned? Does the bot busting software have some holes in it?
Also, what about that other post about the guy with 5.1b xp, red phat and quite obviously botting? Are you banning him, too?
I primarily focus on OSRS. I have banned that account though, the second one.

Could you please have a look at this? This is literally the third time i've been falsely banned for "botting" Please review and also kindly provide why this is the third false ban and how I can avoid it in the future as this is getting abit ridiculous getting falsely banned every month now.
