Proposed fixes for the store:

  • Fix: Decrease rotation time from 5 days to 1

  • Why: This will prompt people to log in to check for skins more often, specifically “exclusive” skins

  • Fix: Increase “exclusive” slots from 2 to 4

  • Why: Show more “exclusive” skins so people know what is available and will want to purchase before it rotates out in a day, or so they can save for the next time it rotates in.

  • Fix: Decrease cost of Legendary skins from 1800 Apex coins to 500 Apex coins

  • Why: The barrier to entry for “exclusive” skins is reduced

  • Fix: Increase “exclusive” skin cost from 10,500 to 15,000

Before we get to the notes, we know there are some ongoing issues that have been frustrating you folks that didn’t make it into this patch. That's a different thing than the % display being wrong. We're aware of the feedback around the players not getting survival XP when going down early. That's not the intended design and we'll address and give more info when I have more details. We're on it.

Hey everyone, quick update today on a couple things that I can speak to:

REPORTING ON PS4

We are temporarily turning off player reporting on PS4. We need to do some dev work on it to comply better with how this information is provided to Sony and we’re working with them on the improvements. This is an important feature that we want to bring back and will turn it back on once we’ve done the necessary work.

BATTLE PASS XP BOOST FOR LEVEL 12 BADGE SHOWING WRONG %

After some investigating from our awesome QA folks, we were able to confirm that this a bug with the UI and even though you may see the percentage change, you are still getting the 2.5% XP boost. We’ll fix the UI in a future update but you can rest assured that you are getting the XP.

So internally, we have been working on and testing this feature but it wasn't our intention or plan to have it go live with the update that went out today. There was a piece of script that was missing and caused the leaving match early penalty to be turned on when it shouldn't be. That's why it wasn't in the patch notes.

We updated the script, tested with QA and it's now disabled for all platforms. We don't have an ETA for if or when this would come out for real. Apologies for the confusion.

WHAT HAPPENED?

When the 1.1 update went live, players were unintentionally moved to the wrong servers that didn't have their persistence and this caused players accounts to appear reset with all progression lost.

WHAT DID WE DO TO FIX IT?

Fortunately, your progress up until the update was still safe and sound. We shut down all live servers so we could remove players from the wrong place and roll up the correct servers with your progress. Once we confirmed internally that we had fixed the issue we started rolling out the right servers starting with Xbox and staggered the updates to PS4 and PC.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR PROGRESS?

Everything you've accomplished and bought in Apex up until the 1.1 Patch that went live at 10:00 PST today should be restored.
