OCTOBER 4, 2022

Wrath of the Lich King Classic

• Honor gear vendor costs have been reduced by 30%. This includes Deadly, Hateful, and Savage gear.
• The breath meter has been increased to 3 minutes (was previously 1 minute).
• Death Knight’s Improved Unholy Presence now correctly reduces rune cooldowns when in Unholy Presence.
• Druid Lifebloom should now correctly scale with Haste when Gift of the Earthmother is talented.
• Flag carriers in the Warsong Gulch battleground now appear on the map after 45 seconds of carrying the enemy flag.
• The Wintergrasp auto-queue when entering the zone is now much quicker.
• Fixed an issue with “The Flesh Giant Champion” where Margrave Dhakar could become permanently stuck if other hostile creatures were pulled into the event area.
• Incomplete quests will now appear with a gray ‘?’ in gossip win...

Wrath of the Lich King Classic

• Fixed multiple issues preventing the Battle for Undercity from proceeded as expected when multiple layers are present.
• The Portal to Undercity in Stormwind should now appear as expected when you are on the quest “The Killing Time” and have completed “A Royal Coup”.
• Living Bomb no longer puts the Mage back into combat upon expiration or removal.
• Fixed an issue preventing Mr. Floppy from reviving, blocking the quest “Mr. Floppy’s Perilous Adventure” from completing.
• “A Righteous Sermon” quest has been updated to now allow for more than a single player to receive credit for listening to Inquisitor Hallard’s Righteous Sermon.
• Stranglethorn Fishing Tournament NPCs now spawn more reliably.

• Au’Dara the Heirloom Broker located in Oribos sells the following bind-on-account item:
  • Eternal Equipment Chest – Contains one piece of item level 275 unranked PvP gear. The chest can only be purchased with Conquest by a character with a 1400 or higher rating in any PvP bracket.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic

• The Battle for Wintergrasp may now only be joined once per 30-minute queue window.
• The follow player functionality is now disabled in battlegrounds and arenas.
• Fixed an issue where the player’s name would occasionally appear as “Unknown” in quest descriptions.
• Fixed an issue where a disconnect could occur when dismounting a flying mount while ascending.
• Storm Clouds should no longer fail to buff Gymer when grabbed on “Storm King’s Vengeance”.
• “Blinding the Eyes in the Sky” now includes Skybreaker Recon Fighters, as intended.

The team has been working diligently on the full Vault of the Incarnates raid experience, but unfortunately it won’t be ready in time for the currently scheduled Normal and Raid Finder weekend play tests. We’ll be postponing Normal and Raid Finder tests at this time. Please keep an eye out on this thread for further updates and when they have been rescheduled.

• Zidormi will now reliably allow players to enter or leave the Battle for The Undercity. If you have haven’t started the Battle for The Undercity questlines, you must complete the following quests to enter:
  • Horde – “Darkness Stirs”
  • Alliance – “Return to Angrathar”
• Fixed an issue preventing Heirlooms, Tome of Cold Weather Flying, Northrend Faction Helm Enchant Arcanums, and Sons of Hodir Shoulder Inscriptions from being transferable to other WoW accounts.
• Brassbolt Mechawrench and Reginald Arcfire have returned to Dalaran to offer their Auction House services for Grand Master Engineers.
• The Master Summoner’s Staff quest item for “Destroying the Altars” has been increased to 100%.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic

• Northrend Adventuring Supplies now have a chance to award ore, leather, cloth, herbs, and gems. Reduced the number of consumables awarded from the supplies.
  • Developers’ note: We received feedback that the bonus rewards for quests were too frequent, too lucrative, and too targeted at consumables produced by Alchemists, and are making changes to reduce the quantity and increase the diversity of items awarded by these bags. There is still a chance to drop consumables, but also a chance to drop ore, leather, cloth, herbs, or gems.
• Utgarde Keep
  • The door that closes when starting the Skarvald the Constructor and Dalronn the Controller encounter will properly open again once they are defeated.

Currently, there is a bug with Dragonflight vendors that are causing them to show more ensembles for sale than they should to the character viewing their wares. Ensemble unlocks are not changing in Dragonflight; the vendors should only offer them to characters with the appropriate armor type.

With that said, we recognize players don’t want to have to re-earn the ability to purchase these ensembles, but we don’t want to create a problem where a player might unintentionally purchase an ensemble of the wrong armor type, use it and then not find the armor they thought they just unlocked. So in Dragonflight, the ability to purchase the cosmetic Renown unlocks will be unlocked account-wide and can be purchased with alt characters on the account that match the ensemble’s armor type.

• The maximum amount of in-game currency that can be transferred to another realm is now 500g for player-characters at levels 10-30, 2,500g at levels 31-50, and 25,000g at level 51 or higher.
• Players who enter a battleground while mounted on a flying mount or while shapeshifted into Flight Form will now return to their flying mount or shapeshift form upon exiting the battleground.
• Fixed an issue where skill level requirements were not enforced when casting the Skinning spell from your spell book.
• Fixed an issue causing Wartook Iceborn to sometimes disappear during the quest “Across Transborea.”
• Fixed an issue in “The Battle for The Undercity” where King Varian Wrynn was attacking an NPC that should not be part of the event.

Hello raiders.

There will no longer be raid testing on Thursday, October 6. We have moved the two encounters to Friday, October 7 and Thursday, October 13.

The schedule has been updated with these changes.

The raid testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of a test environment. There’s the possibility of having to change the time of a testing session, change the bosses being tested, or cancel a test entirely due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc.

We’ll be updating this schedule with boss details as we get closer to their testing dates. Keep an eye on the Dragonflight Beta forum for the boss feedback threads and the latest information. Thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.

Vault of the Incarnates Raid Testing Schedule

• Raids will now count towards the 5 instance-per-hour limit.
  • Developers’ notes: The hourly instance limit prevents players from entering instances that they’ve entered at least once already within the last hour. With this change, farming a dungeon should not prevent you from entering a raid instance, so long as you don’t attempt to reset and re-enter that raid instance multiple times.

• Fixed an issue where the Glyph of Horn of Winter prevented other Death Knights in your raid or party from using Horn of Winter.
• Fixed an issue with Warrior’s Warbringer talent which prevented Intervene from breaking root effects.
• Call to Arms Battlegrounds now reward the proper bonus Honor.
• Quests that did not display completion text when being watched have been fixed and should display the text on what to do next under the objective tracker.

While adding these new spell names we also made a pass on the names of almost every talent, and several of them are having their name changed. We tried to avoid changing terms people are very familiar with, we aren’t looking to rename core building blocks of classes or specs. Spells like Fireball, Mortal Strike and Rejuvenation are not suddenly going to be changing names.
