Correct.

Not talking specifically about the jewel here, but about the game in general - all keystones are boolean things - you have them and they apply their effect, or you don't and they don't. There is no case in PoE where getting the same keystone twice can do anything differently to getting it once.

I could but I won't. I don't want to ruin everyone's fun speculations, and we might want to keep some of the details for future news posts or announcements or something. Each legion's jewel follows different rules for what their form of conquering does, and so far I know there's been at least two resulting nodes shown in various places from the Vaal jewel.

I came up with the base idea and how we could implement it a while back and proposed it to Hrishi who developed the plan further with me. At the time it was for a potential vaal-specific league, and was specifically just corru...

I think those jewels will be a nightmare to trade since we will probably only be able to filter for the number or the uniq name. And just by looking at the item from the trade site item or even ingame in the trade window will not allow you to know its exact effects. If you get the jewel you can just play around and test it on different locations, but how would I know in advance whether or not its worth getting one without being able to test it ?

I can already see some build guides telling you to use the jewel with the number being one out of a list of 8-10 numbers/seeds since these will have more or less the desired effect.

Will it be possible use Divine Orbs to change the numerical value and therefore the seed and effect that the jewel will have on the passive tree ?

Yes, this is a mod value, and thus divineable.

Level of the Raise Zombie skill is what determines the monster level of the zombies.

You can Raise Spectres from your Zombies. Those will be Raised Spectres of Zombies, not Raised Zombies. Bonuses for your Raised Zombies will thus not apply to them, bonuses for Raised Spectres will. But you can do it.

eg if you used inner conviction (on new volls protector) with 2 powerlessness and Tulfall?

when you gain a power charge you hit max, which converts it to a frenzy charge and back to a power charge in an infinite loop? and eg with volls devotion you gain endurance charge every cycle

how are you limiting the loop or delaying it? otherwise it would freeze the server no? (or atleast the thread that calculation runs in)

When you reach maximum power charges, two things need to happen. The "gain a frenzy charge" will happen just before the "lose all power charges", so what will happen with Inner Conviction is that you'll gain a power charge while still at maximum, then lose them all.

Not knowing what it does until you slot it in, or needing to know an algorithm that uses a stated seed is a bit too much, especially if it's over 5000 different seeds for 5 different items...

There is not room on the screen for the item to give details of how it would change each possible passive while still having the font in a reasonable size.

It says what it does in the same way that a Vaal Orb says what it does - it tells you that it will make certain kinds of changes, it doesn't list every possible change it could make.

This is not quite true. Each of the jewels will "Conquer" passive skills in it's radius (which is a fancy term meaning "these have been changed by this jewel, and no other jewels can change them further" - this has reminder text). Each legion's jewel conquers things in a slightly different way (makes different kinds of changes), but they're all considered Conquering, not Corrupting.

The original plan for this mechanic came from the idea of "corrupting" the tree and was vaal-specific, but since we used it here in Legion league where it had to make sense with all 5 factions, we used a different term, and will thus keep the "corrupted" terminology free (in the context of passives) in case we want to use it for some different mechanic in the future.

You don't need to datamine the seeds, the seed is literally displayed on the jewel. It's the number (technically a unique identifier hash for passive affected is also used, but those already exist and have been datamined - that's just how passives are identified by the game).

That doesn't tell you what a given jewel will do unless you know the algorithm that uses that seed, which is not mineable data, but code.

It's great having him working in the office now because I can see his face when he finds out about stuff like this :P

Unless they changed the variables and all of that, which is entirely possible.

Whirling Blades was called Blade Flurry for the entirety of it's development, and it's source files and several other things related to it are still called that.

Blade Flurry was designed and created under the name Charged Attack.

This absolutely can be annoying.

Are you planning to handwire the dactyl? I know someone did a flexible PCB at one point in time which was very interesting. Are you planning to get an SA keycap set to use with the dactyl? I noticed the artisans you have planned for it are SA profile.

Is there a story behind all the frogs? Haha.

Yeah, planning to handwire it, just seems easier than all the stuff for setting up the flexible PCB. Haven't finalised what profile of keycaps I'll be using, I am a big fan of SA profile in general and will almost certainly be using that for the thumb clusters, but I might end up with something else on the main parts of the board.

already bought key dampeners, just in case, but can't really decide what to get, since keyboard with brown switches tend to be a bit more expensive than blues (at least here in germany)

Currently I use Cherry browns, looking at Kalih box royals for my next board.

The trackball is new, I'm still getting used to it. Big movements of the cursor and straight lines are easier, fine control is still lacking, but improving. Not sure if I'll stick with it long term yet.

Ducky One with Cherry Blue switches. The keycaps are GMK Laser by Mito. The spacebar I got individually from Massdrop, don't remember the maker.
