Hey everyone!


The official launch of the Albion East Server is coming up soon and with it a start into a new and untouched world.

Now, to make this start a smooth and exciting experience for everyone, we are taking a couple of precautionary measures to make sure everyone has a good gameplay experience.


First of all, we will adjust the world size at the start to match the pace of the players moving into the world.

Secondly, territory prime times for Albion East will be different from those on Albion West to focus more on the time zones of the players living in the Asian and Oceanic regions.

We anticipate Albion East to grow over time, just as Albion West did back when the game first launched.

The speed of this process will be hard to predict, so we’re trying to strike a balance that leaves enough room for growth while at the same time ensuring space is limited enough for players to compete over.

Hey everyone,


With the release of Patch 2 today and the holidays on the horizon, we wanted to give you an update on what’s been done so far and where we’re going in the new year.


Over the past few weeks and continuing on into Patch 2, we’ve been steadily increasing the rewards and tuning the content included in 'Beyond the Veil'.
Today we’ve added Player Anonymity to conceal the identity of players you encounter in the Mists, we’ve changed the relationship of Mists Rarity and Tier to guarantee that enchanted Mists have an increasingly higher chance to lead to higher Tier zones, and further increased the silver and loot bonuses of the Mists to match that of the Open World.


We’ve also reworked travel to and from Brecilien so that players no longer feel trapped after traveling to the city.

Hello everyone!


We’ve all been hard at work going through all of your feedback and have another round of changes for today. These were not ready in time for maintenance but will be deployed later today once testing has finished.

As there are a lot of changes to go through, here’s a short list:

  • The respawn speed of enemies within the Mists has been doubled to make sure Mists don’t clear out quite as fast
  • Fame received from freeing Caged Wisps, escorting Weakened Wisps, and clearing mob camps now properly applies to current equipment
  • The treasure chest value in the Mists has been roughly tripled to be approximately equivalent to treasure chests found in the open world
  • Weakened Wisps have had their Might and Favor value increased significantly to better reward players who help them

Hello everyone!


As it’s now been a couple of days since our last post, we wanted to give you an update on what we’re currently working on. As you’re aware, we’ve already been rolling out improvements for the Mists throughout the week to improve rewards and allow players to leave the Mists more quickly, and to improve some basic mechanics such as removing zerg bubbles and protecting PvP loot for the killer.

We really appreciate the feedback we’ve received from you so far. We’re now approaching the limit of what we can do with quick server-side updates, so our next update will be coming tomorrow (November 25th) in the form of a client-side patch. Here’s an overview of what you can expect:

During today’s maintenance, we’ve addressed some of the initial feedback for the Beyond the Veil update.

To begin, we’ve made some initial adjustments to respond to feedback about the rewards. The Mists should never outcompete the open world in terms of value, as this would drain players from the open world which is not healthy for the game in the long term. Despite this stance, we do feel there are opportunities to increase the rewards in the Mists.


Artifact Enemies / Mythical Mobs

Due to artifacts having a tendency to plummet in value if too many are given out, we have to show some restraint with how many of the Mythical creatures spawn, or else they will be easily found but not rewarding at all. To help them retain their value we wanted to collect some initial data to see how many of the enemies we spawn are actually killed.

They appear to be more elusive than we previously though... Read more

  • Fixed a potential issue with Mists matchmaking
  • Fixed an issue with Learning Points not being used when using the "Auto Learn" Feature

The Championship will take place in the offseason between Season 16 and Season 17 on the following dates:

Saturday, September 10: 17:00 - 20:45 UTC
Sunday, September 11: 17:00 - 21:45 UTC
  • The above end times are approximate, depending on how long matches go on.
  • Battles will be full loot AND hard-capped at 1500 and players will have to bring their own gear.

Hello everyone!


There is currently a problem with our launcher that we are actively working to resolve.

For now, you can't start the game through the launcher, however, you can start it through the launch_albion_online.exe

How do you find that file?

Go to your file explorer and your local disc -> Program Files (x86) -> AlbionOnline -> game -> launch_albion_online.exe

make sure you are using the launch_ exe and not the Albion-Online.exe

Hello everyone!



The release of the new map overlay for cluster values will be delayed.

After reviewing the feature's current state with live data we realized that it doesn't yet fulfill its purpose and needs some more work which will delay its release until January '22.

This will allow us to get it into a state in which it will become an actual asset to everyone playing the game.

Unfortunately we had to delay the release of the feature again because we still need to collect some more data before it can actually go live.


We're making progress on the development and are confident that the release is not far off, it will not be part of patch 4 though. It is planned to go live with one of the upcoming patches after patch 4.

Hello everyone,


During today's early downtime, we identified and resolved an issue with Patch 2 that introduced a bug, whereby a handful of players generated more silver than they should have otherwise been able to.

Fortunately, this was reported and caught early so no damage was caused to the game’s economy. The player that reported the bug to us upon discovery will receive a reward from us as thanks for helping to catch the bug.

The handful of players that were found to have exploited this bug have had the silver generated removed from their accounts, and players who abused the bug have been banned either temporarily or permanently, depending on the severity of the abuse and the amount of silver that was fraudulently obtained.

As already clarified in prior situations, we cannot tolerate the abuse of bugs. Exploiting this bug is considered a breach of our Terms & Conditions under section 15.... Read more
