Hi! Welcome to Thunder Show and the freshest moments of the past week. You should never give up too early in battle: who knows what will happen next? But we also wouldn’t recommend celebrating too early. Although... Ah, okay, just wait and see. Let’s get started!

So, what do you do if something incredible happens in your battle that deserves to appear in Thunder Show?

While in the game, go to “Community > Replays” and find the replay.


Press the “Rename” button and give it a memorable name.


Open the Replays folder in the game folder: search for the file with the name you have just given it.

Every year, on the 1st of October, the central squares in China will be decorated with compositions of fresh flowers, Chinese lanterns, dragon figures and see folk festivals and performances on the streets that will continue for several days in the “golden week”. This day marks the main public holiday in China.

We want to congratulate all our Chinese players! We wish them prosperity and welfare!

From 13:00 GMT on the 30th of September until 07:00 GMT on the 7th of October.

Perform 3 battles in Chinese vehicles (from rank III and with an activity of 70% or higher) and get the “Emblem of PRC” decal.

Mixed countermeasures loadout release has been fixed. One flare and one pack of chaff are now released each time a player presses the button.


Empty weapon container automatic jettison has been added.Enable the option “Jettison secondary weapon” in the Controls - Controls mode menu. For some types of weapon, separate weapon containers are dropped right after the last round has been fired from them, for some types of weapon containers are dropped only after all ammo of selected type are fired from all of them. Automatic jettison can be disabled with the game option “Empty weapon containers automatic jettison”. The option is enabled by default.


The IR AAM seeker reticle will no longer disappear from the HUD near the lock on range limit.

Container auto-drop

Any suspended container reduces flight characteristics - this applies to a container full of unguided rockets, it also applies to an empty one as they all affect the resistance of oncoming airflow! Previously we introduced the ability to get rid of some empty suspended containers. Now we are making that mechanic automatic!

Depending on the type, containers can be dropped separately or after one type of ordnance is completely used up.

Good military vehicles aren’t only about their characteristics: they also need to be cheap to produce, easy to repair and open to serious upgrading. A perfect example of such a machine is the legendary Po-2 light bomber. This all-round great aircraft earned the love and respect of pilots 95 years ago, and now it has become famous among War Thunder players for its phenomenal capabilities when controlled by an experienced pilot. What a surprising coincidence it is, then, that Po-2 was chosen by the Organization as a platform for upgrades in Project “Overpowered”.

Create an “Overpowered” version of one of the most amazing aircraft in the game, use it as intended, and then exchange it for exclusive vehicles of different classes. A worthy aircraft deserves worthy rewards.
