I vote for the C9 TSM finals with Jensen's infamous ekko play. If that doesn't make it into the replay finals at some point I will be very sad
That's a good vote!
It was actually that play that inspired the idea of this series too =)

sneaky watching the teaser for this episode yesterday and raging over the minion that blocked his rocket was so f**king funny
Oh man do you have a clip of this? That sounds AMAZING lol
Really sad Bjerg wasn't a part of this video. For whatever reason it may be, they for sure missed out on a huge part of it.
There's two main problems with Bjerg.
is it really to hype up certain matches in the week instead of showing insights of incredible moments? i thought its about that...
It's defs a mix of both, but I'd always lean to wanting to tell the best story than fitting the LCS right now though. These pieces are intended to be evergreen so the current state of the LCS shouldn't really matter although it's always nice when they tie-in neatly!
Man. I f**king love League of Legends.
SAME
maybe there is going to be a part 2? where they talk about their msi run
2016 CLG did a lot of Replay File level stuff, we've talked at length about wanting to cover more of their run that split so I can tell you it's at LEAST on our radars for the future.
I looooooved this video, but it had me wondering why Dardoch and Aphro weren't included. They would have had really fun insights on this series
Sometimes we ask and people are busy and we sadly never have time to talk to everyone, so we do our best to pick those who best represent the story we're looking to tell (availability pending ofc).
It's a mix of things, but mostly if someone isn't in, we didn't have time to film with them on top of everything else. Replay Files shoot days are like giga loaded burritos.
Throw us CLG fans a bone here please, we are desperate for... well anything.
Maybe MSI? summer 2015/ spring 2016 back to back with rookies?
Funny you should mention CLG...
any hints as to what's next :P
WTF two Shens, but with a summoner spell instead.
Doublelift C9 finals
Gonna have to be more specific 😂
The game four Lucian I assume?
Was it your idea? If so congratz
I had the original skeleton for a history based show, but the whole effort was a collaborative thing to get to what we have now!
Great interview u/pastrytime
Thank you! Always good to catch up with Lawrence!
It was f**king beautiful honestly.
I hope next time they do more LCS prominent games though. Like I want to see the CLG MSI 2016 run. Or the Cloud 9 2018 run. Or Liquid's 2-Year dominance and MSI run.
Oh don't worry, you'll see a lot more directly LCS focused stuff =)
I have GREAT news for you all. We are doing more!
EDIT: ICYMI the episode is now up on YouTube! https://youtu.be/Gt1DGbDKk7w
Saturday: “Replay Files”
Take fans back to some of the biggest LCS matches from the past and include interviews from players that took part.I really hope they manage to get former pro's we haven't heard from in awhile instead of just Hai/meteos/etc.
While I can tell you that you'll be seeing more familiar faces initially, there are 100% talks about LOTS of different episodes we could do and we defs have some deep cuts in the tank for potential guests.

The audio only broadcast sounds interesting. Replacing count-down with a few less ambiguous programs is probably a good idea. I wonder if any of them are going to be pre-recorded and edited or if they're all live.
Side note, I really hate the term "new normal".
AFAIK all the currently planned pre-show shows are pre-recorded and edited content, so you'll be able to catch the latest episode still if you didn't happen to catch it live on the LCS day for whatever reason.
I’m very very slightly disappointed to see Countdown go - IIRC that’s given us great moments like the LCS stock segments (Riv yelling “BUY BUY BUY”) and Jatt Stats. But it’s fair that I don’t pay attention to Countdown most of the time.
Replay Files and Next Level sound awesome though. Really hope those segments match the potential I’m picturing ATM.
Also glad there’s no import rule changes but TBH feels like that’s more in question for 2022, not now.
For yourself and anyone similarly excited about these shows I hope they live up to what you're picturing as well.
I obviously have a lot of faith in myself and the team working on The Replay Files, but I hope you like it just as much if not more than we do.
Maybe that’s something for the broadcast to improve on but I’ve found myself watching more and more LEC over LCS purely due to the quality of their short form content and developed stories.
I (was and) remain very passionate about telling those kind of stories about our players and making sure we get them on-air/keep them in mind. Including tracking and informing our team of the journeys the new to LCS players make as I have a lot of time with that league too, particularly in previous years.
For me, I think finding the right piece of short form content that builds on this is something I'd love to do, but exactly what that should be is a question that is taking longer to answer than expected.
Thankfully, we have TGI and Tim The Stat Man to fill that out already and I think they're doing awesome work in that space. I do agree with you though that we could be doing even more and that is something I'm actively pursuing.
