Respectfully, I think us correcting this error (and it was indeed an error in how the player's inventory was looked up and confirmed) immediately after it was made proves otherwise. We handle thousands of customer care tickets a day. Occasionally an error will occur, and we're always going to do our best to rectify the situation.

OP -- Sorry for the trouble here. A customer care agent should be reaching out again via the ticket you started. This was definitely not handled correctly and we're working on fixing that!
Also, keeping an eye on task manager, the game keeps using more and more ram, until it hits 16gb (the amount of ram I have) and then crashes my entire pc. Seems pretty bad /u/Psyonix_Devin

This question gets brought up anytime these premium cars have limitations. It feels like you guys use that same terminology a lot (“cannot be customized with all time types”), even though that terminology seems to have a wide range of meaning.
You guys should clarify in the text posts instesd of making people so confused/worried before clarity comes out in a response like here, would be better on both ends!

Yes, you will be able to use the Wheels on Psyonix-made cars, but not on other licensed/third-party bodies.

The Skyline, Charger, and Fiero are still customizable. Similar to the F-150, you'll be able to customize with Psyonix-made items not tied to other third-party/license...
