I'm pretty new and I didn't realize there's no good way to quit out if a concede is rejected and that the time just adds up.
Maybe that's on me, but I figured a casual mode would have someway to implement quitting out other than vote conceding.

That's reasonable! Previously, the mode allowed you to leave at any point with no repercussions, however, we found the experience of casual to be degraded by leavers so it was changed to implement a short but increasing penalty.
We've definitely seen some players ask for the desire for Casual to be renamed "Unranked" and a "true" Casual mode to be implemented. The difficulty there lies in the creation of new playlists splitting the player base and degrading the experience in both matchmaking and queue time.
Ultimately, it's an issue we continue to discuss frequently and will continue to look for solutions on.

/u/Psyonix_Ted, the post says that the Golden Moon items "are eligible for trade-up", but mine aren't. I opened all 5, and I got 5 rare decals, 4 of which are for car bodies I don't have. So I would really like to be able to trade these in.

The initial Dominus fancy formal decal being unlocked was a bug itself and was never designed with the intention of allowing any paint finish to be applied, thus in this update, the decal was reverted to its intended customization options.
That being said, I'm aware of yours and others' disappointment in the decision to lock the paint finish and will bring up if this can be reverted.
