And are you able to share how the team feels about the continued existence of cameos?

We like some of the things they are doing (forcing you to move around the map, forcing you to approach fights differently) but we don't think they are the best execution of those goals. We do want to eventually replace them with a better objective system, and you can see with the new map that we are already, in some ways, doing that. For this iteration of Arena we felt that the predictability of the item system and the number of players were higher value to address, in order to add more game to game variance/depth.

interesting changes, but would like more info

The major difference is that you can't select whatever prismatic you want. They are powerful, but the round you get a prismatic, it is similar to getting a augment, in that you get to pick 1orf 3 randomly shown to you (you can reroll like augments though) Same thing happens if you buy a prismatic anvil. Thier is no way to directly purchase a prismatic item.

Yes, we are planning to do balance patches. We are also looking into to doing a small content drop at some point (with probably a few new augments/prismatic items)

Yes she’s still female

Excited for all the new champs and updates!

I mean just because we are making Ambessa now doesnt mean we will never make Sevika. I think if characters from Arcane, who have clear combat abilities, end up really popular with players, then we would consider bringing them over to LoL as new champions

Are you able to elaborate what that is, seems a bit simplistic to go with strength again since darius already embodies that so well

I cant at this point no, want to keep some things a surprise. The fact that she is clearly a warrior that fights makes it a lot easier then Silco though. That why we gave Renata the robot, to kind of be like her "goon" since chembarons usually have goons fight for them. It would have been weird to suddenly give Silco a robot that was never in the show

Hey reav3, I recall you mentioning that for a time the team looked at potentially porting silco for renata glasc, but that didn't pan out. Are you able to share how the team got to being able to port ambessa now

Ambessa is a fighter with a clear power source. She is much easier to port into LoL then a character that doesn’t ever fight

Perhaps we can get something going together on the sub, just maybe a collection of feedback?

I actually didn’t know this existed. I’ll start checking it out

We are working on fixes for the UI right now. We want to get them out sometime early this year. We are also working on the ability to queue for as the same champion in multiple roles

Definitely not. I am actually investing more heavily into modes team for next year. The team has more ambitious goals for next year then this year.

Who says theirs only one?

He’s moved over to the gameplay initiative, onto the game modes team.

This just completely invalidates people going for high ratings cuz they can all be cheesed by party of 8 people basically boosting 1 pairs elo by matchfixing every game asap. It's not a massive problem but still feels odd.

That was a typo. You wont gain/lose rating in 8 player games

We still want to make a better objective system then Cameos at some point, but we weren't able to make one in the time between this and the last version

Its performing ok, better then some past NB runs, but even that is about 1/4-1/3 amount of games as Arena had. Games are also falling off much faster then Arena
