Hold up, I need some clarification on the shopping cart skins. Do you mean like if I kill someone and they drop Skin A, I'll be able to grab that gun with Skin A during the next round for free?
At it's core I really believe that the creative teams are people just like us, they put out what they like and what they think we'll like. The are other meme sprays like the Sova owl or the Phoenix burning house, it's good to see a more recent relevant meme put in place.
Ya there's no marketing conspiracy (maybe there is and they haven't filled me in on it yet 0_0). The premium content team browses reddit, shares threads, and watches twitch streams like you all. We love the opportunity to have some fun with the battle pass and try not to take ourselves too seriously.
We also pass 10/10 amazing ideas to the team like skins in shopping carts after the round ends with no stealing allowed :D

I like the new Songsteel set more than any other skin in the game, effects or no. And the knife is imo the best one released, even though it isn't a dagger/
Thanks, myself and the outsource managers on the team worked back and forth on the model to try to polish it up as much as possible during development. Unfortunately, we don't have unlimited time to spend on every asset but we're glad the results came through nicely!

Do you take the shopping cart to the next round with you so your team gets to choose from the cart, or is this so you can bring them to your teammates after they defuse the bomb? Do you think there needs to be some shopping cart protection so that your teammates can not steal from your cart before you chose the gun you want?

If you're interested in working on weapons for games I highly recommend taking a look at some full high poly > low poly > substance painter > marmoset/ue4 tutorials. Back when I taught a Props + Weapons course after work, I recommended Simon's tutorials to my students if they wanted to continue learning. Looks like you're using Blender (I do too!) so maybe the first one would be a good fit. Arrimus3d also has a great collection of free high quality tutorials you could take a look at as well!

Thanks! That was definitely the most complex gun of the Prime 2.0 set for us. Working around the bullet belt and base top loading anim set was an interesting and fun challenge!

Hey DuffEnuff173 - Chibi 1234 is very correct! There's a TON of people that contribute to the creation of the weapon designs on Valorant.
As for the concept side of things, I'd be happy to answer your question! First off, don't worry, we didn't have a falling out with the artist on the team who came up with the idea! They're still working on the project!
As for why he hasn't posted: I'm not sure - hopefully he does in the future!
and as for 800813hunters comment involving the external partner who worked on propagating and refining the gun concepts in the line - they need to get a website up and running first before they can post their work as they also have permission to do so!
Haha yeah, no conspiracy here! It's up to the individual artist whether or not they want to post! The artist referenced in the article has created some other amazing skin line concepts for us that are in the game right now and is developing more skins for the future.
