Hello, I'm Leonard[videogameaudio.com] and I'm the audio director for Eco. I started working with Strange Loop Games in 2011 on Vessel and am happy to be back with the team again.

For version 0.9 we've been hard at work the past half year to improve and expand the audio content while also upgrading the existing audio system. The initial audio system for Eco was built using Unity and this has been entirely replaced by the Audiokinetic Wwise audio system. This new audio system allows us to move a lot faster when adding new content and includes many features not available in the regular Unity audio system.

It's the first powered vehicle we introduced in the game, so it's pretty much part of history :)

That's wrong. Multi-Packs in Steam have been discontinued long ago, only few games can still sell multiple copies of their games at once. That's why Eco doesn't offer multipacks on Steam - simply because they removed the feature. Hence he cannot have a multipack on Steam.

If you buy a 4 Pack on our website, you get an account with three invites on our website that can be sent to other e-mails to also create accounts. All of these accounts can be linked with Steam. We do not send out keys directly, we are not allowed to do so.

We take part in some of the Steam Sales with 15% off. Summer sale is a big one, so we probably do, but i cannot promise that.

That should also be fixed in 9.0.

Try to restart Steam. If something is wrong with the connection to Steam, the game offers you to login via your SLG Login instead. You can create an account on our website and link your Steam account to it - this allows you to play Eco when Steam is on maintenance or down as well.

The powered cart is a legacy vehicle replaced by the Steam Truck. It's not meant to be crafted, we left it in for the diehard fans. (And because it takes no time to not remove it, obviously) In normal progession you would never use this vehicle and that's intended.

For Update 9.0 we rebalanced it a bit, so it can actually be useful at a specific point of the tech tree, but most people will still not want to use it due to its high turn radius - but it does have it's fans and we don't see the need to arbitrarily remove something.

I understand your opinion and i'll abstain from giving you a warning for all the not so nice talk in the posts you voluntarily deleted, but this is a very subjective matter. We balanced the game around a multiplayer community as that's what the game is made for. In regards to leveling we offer several balanced options for players to choose from. There is no way we could offer a fitting setting for everyone, simply because everyone has different preferences.

In Update 9.0 we introduce a resource cost and crafting time multiplicator which enables you to easily adjust the gameplay to your preferences, without having to modify files.

Sorry, i don't really understand what the issue is. Editing the game save files is not possible and will lead to issues, we do not offer any support for that. In case changing the WorldGenerator.eco file does nothing at your host, please contact your hosting provider to get help.

The size of the world has nothing to do with the savegame. You change the size in the WorldGenerator.eco config file in the Configs folder before creating a world. Totally different topic from your first two posts.

Boreal Forest is another name for Taiga.

You cannot delete profiles without breaking the save, it's not meant to be edited. It can be opened with WinRAR for example, but when you do you do so on your own risk without any support.

The cause and effects explorer was removed in a recent version to be overhauled for a future Update, though not 9.0.

Hi everyone, my name is Milenko and I am the Art Director of ECO. Since I speak here rarely, before I start talking about UI, I would like to let you know where the art production is at and share a bit of an artist experience from our work so far.

The wheelbarrow is a unfinished in development item that is supposed to replace the Small Woodcart later on, just use that until then :)

Yeah, definitely set it to No Collaboration. You can select multiple specializations - they are gained at a base rate every day, plus a multiplier (that you can upgrade through food and housing in the game) and that setting changes the base multiplier. If you're only 3 people, you'll need lots of specializations each to fill out the needs of the tech tree. Generally, the games' wiki, https://eco.gamepedia.com/ is a great resource since it explains a lot more than the ingame text.

Please no longer link to gamepedia, we stopped our cooperation with them and the wiki is no longer official nor endorsed by us or worked on by the former wiki admins. We use https://wiki.play.eco now, without ads and recent software. It also allows anyone to edit, without permanently required approval by Wiki-Admins nor with the requirement to register. Registered accounts get patrol rights automatically after a while, just like on Wikipedia.

That probably is caused by rounding errors, as the crafting cannot display point values. This should be fixed in Update 9.0.

Indeed, Update 9.0 allows you to use any seeds for the farming book. The spawn rate of seeds has only been slightly adapted, though, as it's intended for them to be taken care of by farmers with the respective specialty.

You might be able to delete it by using the /level command to level the area where you placed it into some material (up, probably) and then leveling it down again. In general, don't spawn in dev items ... They're dev items for reasons.
