Hey Soc! You'll get Hero Shards throughout the game but they drop the most in Assassinations missions. Those will become available to you after you finish The Prayers in Act I.

Hey M4tz3! We've seen some reports of the same issue. The first thing to do is to make sure that nothing is keeping your machine from interacting with our servers.

Can you turn off your Antivirus if you have one? Also, do you have a VPN?

Hey Drakeshot. This commonly happens when you're using an account from the wrong region. What region did you register your Wargaming account with? Can you make sure it's the same as the server region you picked?

Alright so that's very good to know. It means it's a display bug of some sort that didn't get solved in the hotfix, not a deeper issue.

I'm moving this thread to HELP. Could you let me know if you're using a VPN or any kind of third-party soft like Teamviewer or Rivatuner?

Just like Wookiee indicated, the first time you complete an assassination, a Hero Soul will drop. The maximum total amount of hero souls is 7 at this time, so after that, assassinations will not drop souls anymore, just the usual fountain of loot - hero shards, gear and materials.
