Our policy is to do not implement drastic changes in repair prices. It's like that since we had many complains on big/drastic changes in eco. Repair prices change is a process that need to take some time, to avoid huge changes in game economy.

It's compression algorithm. AFAIK it can be visible only with specific condition, and only on thumbnail. If you check full version, it should be ok.

Transition to the new economic system: poll results.


We would like to thank all War Thunder players for the intense discussion of possible transition to the new economic system, as well as for the very active voting in the transition poll. The majority of votes were received by the new economic system - rank based economy. The poll results are as follows:

You may have noticed that War Thunder now has regular events with simple tasks and nice prizes that can be completed in specific vehicles. We wanted to make it easier for you to find the vehicles involved in these events.


Now vehicles that can be used in these events will be marked in the research trees with a special tag with an image of a star. Ground vehicles

The marker for the ballistic calculator (crosshair) has been disabled for the ATGM weapons.


A bug has been fixed that caused the marker for the ballistic calculator (crosshair) to be displayed incorrectly when shooting at aerial targets with ground vehicles with a laser rangefinder.

In the rank based economy, the efficiency of vehicles will not be taken into account in any way.


The reward multiplier and the cost of repairing vehicles bring the earnings and spending of vehicles to the desired level. Now the desired level is determined based on the vehicle efficiency, but in the new economy it will be determined based on the vehicle rank and its position within the rank.
That is, we will still make economic changes that will bring income and spending to the desired level, but this level will be the same for the same units.
