I think the big thing is probably just that the world changed more from 42-80 than 80-now. In 42 there was a giant world war with millions dying.

Reading Dan Simmons' "Carrion Comfort". The book's main part is set in "the present" of 1980, with historical sections set in 1942.

I just realized that 1942 is actually closer to 1980 than we are now. And yet it doesn't feel that way. Time runs.

@direGoldfish @cliffski @danctheduck True, but you don't have to choose randomly. Focus on learning from people who have succeeded at relevant work, ignore those who haven't.

I guess it does require slightly more effort to filter this way. Maybe we need 'steam curators for game dev videos'.

@overhaze Not without a LOT of work. The whole thing is built on Unity's original immediate-mode GUI framework; we'd have to completely reimplement the entire UI to get off that unfortunately. That's more of a sequel thing than an update thing...

@McMullinRC @KelboEdwards @SamsungMobile Unfortunately there is not a way, not any more. That's the problem. The Bixby key is now permanently an "install bloatware" key.

I can't believe @SamsungMobile is still pushing this obscene Bixby garbage on me.

I had it disabled. Now it updated and it demands that I install it, with pages of legalse agreements, before I can disable it.

I will never buy a Samsung phone again just because of this.
