Thanks for the report! We think that this was a result of not everything getting fully scaled out in this morning's release, and that it should be fixed now. Please let us know if you're continuing to see these problems.

Jay, who decides how daily deals are made? Is it one guy? The whole team? An algorithm?
It's mostly one person. They keep a calendar of special dates to theme around, and other times pick an assortment. Like anything, we'll also run with good ideas that come from anywhere, across the team or even beyond. Credit to u/GravyBus for pointing out HamBoneRaces cake day and that this was an event worth celebrating
First Little Pig + Bone Splinter + Racers' Ring are the only non-BLB cards in the deals today too.
There you go. Happy cake day u/HamBoneRaces, and thanks for all you do for this community
If this is happening consistently for you, try going to Options -> Report Bug -> Validate Bundles. This can happen when your local assets get corrupted, and running that will check whether any are and redownload them if so
This was supposed to go out to everyone who logged in during the time XP was bugged, but something seems to have gone wrong, resulting in some players (including me) not getting the message. We're looking into it.
Edit: Ok, we think we've now gotten everyone who logged in during that time. Sorry for the delay here!
I'm assuming the XP bug was fixed but the missing xp that was already earned has not gone out?
Correct; that should happen later today or maybe early tomorrow
Hey, thanks for the report! We're aware of an issue where XP is not always being applied correctly, and we are working to get a fix deployed soon. We will also make sure that everyone gets full credit for any XP they missed out on.
As of about 20 min ago, if you restart your client this should be fixed.
My rank is also not showing or being upgraded/downgraded after a match. Is that part of this bug as well?
I would be surprised if it was causing that, but it's possible. In any case, the XP issue should be fixed now. If you continue to see issues with your rank, please contact CS

Yup:
- APNAP
- Layers
- Timestamps
- Characteristic Defining Abilities
- Multi-Layer Persistence (When a single ability works in multiple layers and it's affect on operations of ability removing effects)
- Priority and the Goyf effect.
- Modal effect resolution order
- Spell copy effects and target counts.
- Negative Power corner cases (You can cutdown a -12/17)
- State based actions
It's funny but 5% of the rules cover 95% of the game states and 95% of the rules are needed 5% of the time.
This is a very good list. First 3 items there resolve probably 95% of the "Why did this happen this way?" questions you see on this sub
If it helps, I only stopped receiving XP when I completed my daily quest. So today I got 6 wins, received 25 XP for each, then completed my daily quest on my 7th win and did not receive XP from the quest or from the win.
Thanks for the additional information! That behavior lines up with what we're seeing.

Decks start off with a base price, which is basically the same price it would cost to craft the deck with wildcards. This is what's listed with the slash,
So your starting point is that a rare wildcard is worth approx. 400 gems? (Guesstimating from the slash prices of the two standard decks.)
That seems like an awful lot compared to the price of a pack.
We think a rare you get to pick (wildcard) is worth more than a random rare (pack), yes
Do all rares and all mythic have the same value?
Yes, at least at that "Decks start off with a base price" level. Then the whole deck gets discounted, so within any given deck every rare/mythic has the same value, but when comparing decks they might differ, if one deck has a different discount than the other
It's clear there's a lot of interest in how the prices work, so here's a general overview.
Decks start off with a base price, which is basically the same price it would cost to craft the deck with wildcards. This is what's listed with the slash, but it gets discounted a couple times.
First off, each deck gets discounted by a variable rate, based on the type of deck. Foundation decks, which are designed to be a starting place for newer players, are discounted more than Champion decks, which are based on popular and successful decks in the meta.
Next, each deck gets prorated down based on the cards you already have in your collection. Note that the proration happens after the discount, which means the price reduction you'll see from crafting any given card will vary from deck to deck.
This means that the prices for any given player will vary a good bit, based on your collection. In OP's screenshot, decks look to vary between 30% and 90% off the ba...
Read moreDoesn't Best-of-One ranked also have some sort of deck strength matchmaking? I recall there being some sort of matchmaking distinction between Bo1 and Bo3
No, there’s no deck weight in any ranked queue
In ranked queues you will continue to be matched against a bunch of meta decks, yes. As many express in this thread, for some that's part of the challenge and fun of brewing.
In the unranked queues (like Standard Play or Brawl), we'll try to pair you with deck of similar strength, so you should see a lot less of the meta decks. The system isn't perfect (turns out it's not easy for a computer to judge the power level of a decklist), but that's the goal. I'm obviously biased, but I spend a good bit of time in Historic Play with silly decks that make me smile, and I feel like I get to have good fun with them.
Read moreHey Guys! Alchemy Premier Draft is coming back to Arena, August 20–27! Its like a regular draft, but one of the slots is replaced by an Alchemy card - except last time we just got an extra slot, like the play boosters of old, which was very good (specially in MKM). Will it be the same this time u/WotC_Jay ? Anyways I do these limited reviews for fun and to remind people that this event exists.
Euru, Acorn Scrounger - Limited Rank: A
[[Chitterspitter]] was a bomb in MH2, and I expect it to be very strong here, as it will give you endless chump blockers that will eventually grow in size if you sacrifice enough fodder - which you shouldn't have any trouble finding, since BG is the color of food tokens.
The second ability of Euru is not that relevant (its the same trigger as the artifact except on combat damage instead of on the upkeep) UNLESS you are able to recur this guy to have ...
Yup, the Alchemy draft will add the Alchemy cards as an extra slot. We like the way this plays and don't have any plans to change it.
