This isn't a "we can solve this in code" thing but a "how do we make sure paying players aren't shut out of the game because they didn't update?" sort of thing.

Not every version of the game is always able to be "up to date", like the Switch version, so some form of backwards compatibility has to be available.

We do care. It's just more complicated than you might think.

"Baergoff"

That's a funny way of spelling Yorthwober

The devs have stated very clearly that they don't want there to be consistency among skins. They don't want to feel forced to change the terrain for every single tribe. They don't want to have special ships for every single tribe. Basically, they don't want to limit themselves by forcing themselves to change every single aspect. They want to change the things they feel appropriate.

This is the right answer.

We don't want to change everything about a skin, but things we find appropriate.

Now, that doesn't mean we're opposed to "revisiting" a few of the older skins in the future, but it wouldn't be to add "consistency" between them.

For instance, what animal would you give the Bardur Baergoff skin if not the Baerion that they're inspired by? Do they need to have their animal changed?

Don't worry, they're getting a buff pretty soon. :)

can i ask why? i know its similar, but they are two completely different mechanics

We didn't want to make them "water Polaris", and did all we could to give them distinction.

For Polaris, ice spread is core to their identity. For Aquarion, flooding is "a nifty thing in their arsenal," and we'd like to keep it that way.

This is the exact thing we were trying to avoid when making them.

Huh, an interesting project.

I'm surprised you didn't send me a DM.

Have you looked at the wiki? They have a catalog of everything there.

I consider them more like "opportunists".

There should just be a change to cymanti where you need a normal troop to be atleast 3 tiles in proximity 5o bugs to make them work. If they go out of the range they get stat nerfed. No idea if this is balanced lmao

The handlers are with the platoon of bugs, not some sort of "command post" miles away.

As you can see by the image, a pack of Doomux is multiple individuals commanded by a handler. This grouping of Doomux is a "unit", like what you'd see ingame.

Midjiwan once said that no, the materializing thing isn't a thing, he just didn't want to show their hands ingame for simplicity reasons.

Of course, he could have told me that before I told people.

Well, this is....impressive!

Midjiwan's been pretty hesitant to show what's inside a Polytopian. Sometimes I think they've got like, a black hole or something in there. :P

But hey, good job!

I allow it because OP makes it clear that it's a fan concept in the comments.
