Note: I don’t plan on finishing this or pursuing my dream career, I don’t care about it anymore, I wanted to share this not as a final attempt to back out, but to share my love for this game, as tedious as some things are I still love the game and the content it has!
Thank you for choosing to share your art with us. I know you mentioned you may be done with art, but if you do end up creating more we would love to see it <3
If anything, many of us will voice their concern --some more aggresively than others-- instead of just dropping the game without a word. Some players will do it before the patch arrives, some are willing to at least try the changes before judging and going full aethercharged rage on this reddit, but what will really matter to most players is what the official response is after the community is done giving its feedback. Like cakehavenvitriol said, its because we care.
Absolutely, totally agree. We are so thankful to have a community that cares so much about our game. <3
Believe me, a lot of people, like myself, know and appreciate the hopes and efforts of you all, as well are being so vocal and concerned because we do love this game, want it to succeed, and want to continue our Slayer journey, and want these efforts of yours to pay off. I really hope all of everyone's effort succeeds and I know you all are hoping to deliver a good game; it must be nerve-wracking and stressful for all of you seeing the discussions and exchanges while waiting for it to drop. Hope you all are well and keeping well through that stress and the tensions here!
<3
I get that you're joking, but I really do hope that you enjoy the 1.5.0 patch. We have put tons of effort into it and we are really excited to show it to the community.
Thanks so much for posting this, it has sparked some convos already (with more to come after 1.5.0)!
Read moreI do not think Trials ought to change how it works at a fundamental level. Fights rotate on a timed basis, beat fights to earn marks, spend marks in the trials store for exclusive pieces of kit or cosmetics.
The main problems of trials are, in my mind:
- Normal Trials do not rotate quickly enough to engage most players uninterested in the competitive mode.
- Dauntless Trials rotate too quickly to make the mode something the community can latch onto.
- Fights are poorly put together with modifiers that seem more tacked on for frustration's sake than being finely crafted and considered fight conditions.
As such, what I would like to see is not some kind of "boss rush" mode, as that's covered by Escalations, but rather:
- Normal Trials rotate daily and only reward completion, not specific time thresholds.
- Dauntless Trials rotate on a monthly basis, with two weeks having no Dauntless Trial available at all (which is ...
This is super useful, thank you!! <3
LOL
This is such a cool idea 👀
Awesome, thanks! Mind if I send you a video later, just so you see what I'm talking about?
Sure!!
Yep. I could do with upgrading my CPU, but until the recent hunt pass started I didn't have this problem. My friends are also on much higher specs than those that are listed. We run games that are much more demanding than dauntless, like GTA V, rdr2, etc. I'm certain it's not our specs.
kk cool, just wanted to be sure. Will log a bug!
PC, as are my friends. terra esc is still awful too, despite the patch notes saying escalations had an overall improvement.
Just to be sure -- do you hit the min specs that are listed here? https://support.playdauntless.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000816854-Minimum-and-Recommended-System-Requirements
Looking at the forge/center of the city makes my frame rate drop to about 40. Same happens to my friends. looking anywhere else I get a stable 60+. Started when the new hunt pass dropped, was perfect before that. Same happened with Terra esc, but it sounds like they might have patched that with the 'improvements to overall escalation performance'
Oh weird! What platform are you playing on?
<3 !!!
