The migration is the lesser of the issues, besides a couple bugs where players didn't receive the intended items. The design of the progression system and the removal of private hunts play is what makes a ton of people not want to touch the game at all.

What pisses me off is how the thing you said is so obvious yet people seem to not understand this and still have hope that Phnx Labs will fix this crap of an update.
If only I could get my money back, holy shit with 100 euros you can offer a good meal to your gf 3-5 times instead of investing on a company that sold itself to a chinese mobile gaming milking machine, because its people had 0 passion and vision for this game.
Now that this update is out our main focus is community feedback and making Dauntless the best it can be.
I understand you are upset, but please remember that every single person working on this game has passion and cares deeply.
There has been a ton of feedback coming in, and we are reading, collecting, and absorbing all of it.
There are a lot of feelings towards this patch, and some things we got wrong.
We aren't falling silent, we are doing our due diligence and forming a plan. For example we are working on a plan for next steps to help the progression migration feel better, but we need to have those next steps finalized before sharing them.

We had something like this a long long time ago -- neat idea for sure. Will bring it up.
It shouldn't be hard to put it back into the game.
As with maaaany things, they wouldn't be hard, but they just don't want to. More bottlenecks = more grinding = more time players are ingame, etc.

The kicker for me is that in the dev blog Phoenix Labs dared to use the word generous regarding how they would convert our previously upgraded items to this new system. It's like your boss saying that instead of firing you they will be cutting your pay and hours, taking away your benefits, and then expecting you to thank them for their generosity.
I understand what you're saying. For what it's worth, we wanted it to be generous and missed some things in the migration. Because of this we are working on a fix. No update on that quite yet, but we are aware and working on it!

We definitely agree that the migration didn't go as intended (missing behemoth parts, rams, etc.) and are working on a fix for it.
For context, our goal was to have Slayers feel about the same level as they were before, but we missed some things in the migration. We are figuring out how to make it right internally, but will have more news early next week!

Yup, I had done tons of Shock escalations before to get many of my weapons and all the armor to +15.
After the patch, my weapons and armor are all reduced and I don't have anywhere near enough parts to bring it back up.
I have to run Shock escalation over and over again and kill Malkarion another hundred times because it looks like I will need 25+ Peerless Stormplate parts to get my armor and weapons back to what they were earlier today.
Missing Behemoth parts from the Capstone Escalation Behemoths is a bug -- we are working on it!

Are you refrencing the "Mane Attraction" rumour quest? It has a 0 plat button on it, but that's a bug. We are removing it in 1.5.1. Skillbased quests were not intended to be skippable.
Yeah, I was understanding that max gear would get full compensation so we could hop right back to the top. Now my Legendaries need me to retread Keystone farming? That is horrid. The grinding was tedious enough the first go around. Why did I grind and upgrade leading up to this?
I had the full Torg set and 3 max weapons. I get 3 Molten Morsels back for that?? T H R E E
