Good Job CCP.

Hey,

FYI, my team managed to tracked down this bug today and a potential fix is currently in code review. This is a quite weird bug, where in very rare cases the agent information fails to load correctly and the level is falling back to the default level 1.

This problem is as far as I can tell unrelated to the Pochven region, but related to internal refactoring on how agent data is stored. As this was done by my team, I am very sorry, that this bug slipped through my testing (I have actually still not managed to reproduce the problem in a test environment, but I was able to find information about it in our logs).

This sounds like a perfect example for the little things forum thread from CCP karkur - can you please add it there, if it is not already covered there: https://forums.eveonline.com/t/little-things-small-qol-suggestions/3545

Ehmmm, yeah - could you please send a bug report about it (F12 ingame - Report Bug)? Thanks in advance.

With any character, which is affected.

How do I send bug report?

While being logged into the client press F12 and select "Report Bug". You can find more details on how to write a good bug report at https://community.eveonline.com/support/test-servers/bug-reporting/ .

Thanks in advance for the bug report!

Hi!

Do you have any further details about this? It would be great if you could send a bug report, so that I can take a closer look (although it would have been best directly when it happened, as the client logs might show the reason)?

Why add missions at all (a better idea would be to revamp the whole boring mission system)? Why add only 3 new missions? Why only level 2 missions? I really don't understand why any dev time was spent doing this. Maybe a new intern or employee I guess.

Hey! These three missions were actually created as part of a project to test our existing content authoring tools to see in which way we could potentially improve them in the future. And no, I cannot go into any details about our learnings, but we managed to create new missions without encountering major problems (but it was also not really smooth). But I can share one interesting bug, where we learned a lesson: The missions accidentally sneaked out already in the February release, when they were only partially done and caused a few players to get stuck in them.

A bit late, but shameless plug: To increase the chances of this feature being really good: Please join the mass test, which is happening in 2 hours on Singularity. https://forums.eveonline.com/t/mass-test-on-singularity-thursday-february-27th-2020/222056 for details.

Hey!

CCP Habakuk here, I am also liaison for the Bug Hunter team.

As ironic as it is, it seems like you might have actually found a bug with our volunteer application system.

I found your application, but it is shown to me, that we are waiting for feedback from you. It was last touched by us in July 2019, when we approved the first step of the application, asking you for supplying the 2nd step. As far as I can see we have never received the information in the 2nd step.

I'll send you also a private message with instructions.

Kind Regards, and my apologies for this failure,

CCP Habakuk.

Hey! We are working on a fix for this. As temporary workaround for the time being you can either unpin the windows or uncheck the setting to "Lock Windows When Pinned", as only locked windows are affected, as far as we can tell.

Hey!

Yeah, we (and specifically I) f*cked up in today's patch. I am very sorry about this - I totally missed to check for side-effects, when fixing a different bug (the bug, which stopped separate bookmark windows to update, if the P&P window was closed). At least most (if not all) of those issues are related to this specific bug (not 100% sure about 3+4).

A fix is currently in testing and will be included in tomorrow's patch.

Again: Very sorry about this. :(

edit: the known issues, as posted to the forums:

  • Bookmarks cannot be moved or copied onto folder or subfolder headers
  • Collapsed and expanded states of location folders and subfolders in People & Places is not persisting
  • The bookmarks panel is failing to load correctly after changing the visibility setting of a folder and restarting the client.

We messed with the right-click menu, because it initially looked horrible after just the changes for shared bookmarks. But yeah, we very likely tried to clean it up too much and I should probably have insisted on making only the absolut minimum changes. Sorry for the grief.

It will be great to play the game, which I love, again openly, without having to lie on who I am and where I am from.

This is a very interesting request, but I cannot promise anything, that we find time / a good solution to fix it. Still, if this ever happens again to some extent: Could you please send a bug report from the client (F12 - Report Bug) after this happened, so that I have some data to go with and mention my name in the title of the bug report?

While we are at this topic, there is unfortunately one area with bookmarks, where we could not fix short client freezes yet, and this is if you have too many bookmarks in the same system and have them enabled on sensor overlay. I will look further into this after the release.

It would very likely increase the time for migrating the bookmarks significantly - we also have no idea on how it makes most sense, so the affected players will need to reorganize them then anyway.

Good point, I'll look into it, but I'm not sure, if we can reach them in time. But they will also be free to reveal themselves after the blog has been posted (and I can confirm it then). :D

We will not disclose the character name, but the count will be included in the dev blog, which will hopefully be released soon. Sorry for teasing. :)
