Content Killer - The Skull Merchant
  • Reworked Low Power Mode Add-on:
    • Now decreases Drone Rotation speed by 100%, effectively stopping rotation.
    • No longer decreases Power cooldown by 25%.
Environment/Maps The maximum number of pallets spawned in the Shattered Square Map has been increased to 18 to prevent large areas of the map from spawning with no pallets. The quality of the loops were also updated to reduce their safety. We hope this adds better gameplay for both roles.

Note: The map is not guaranteed to generate with this many pallets and will instead prematurely stop spawning pallets if the minimum pallet requirement has been reached and there are no more valid positions far enough from other... Read more

Greetings ghosts and ghouls! We’re back with another Developer Update, this time covering all the adjustments on the way following our last Public Test Build (PTB). We unveiled some major changes during this PTB, including the new Anti Face-Camping mechanic and an overhaul to The Skull Merchant’s Power. You’ve left us with plenty of feedback to go through, and we’d like to share a few tweaks we’ll be making when this update goes live (and a few more in the minor patches that follow)!


The Skull Merchant
With the overhaul on the PTB, we set our sights on the frustrating strategies that emerged due to how The Skull Merchant’s Power worked. Bugfixes
  • Survivors are no longer able to pass through Locker collisions in certain cases.
  • Add missing animation for Survivor placing "Blast Mine" or "Wiretap" traps on a Generator, preventing Survivors from becoming invisible and unhittable in certain cases.
Note: With this bugfix, we are reenabling Flashlights, along with three Perks: Dramaturgy, Appraisal and Residual Manifest.

Spooky season is officially underway, and we’re getting in the spirit with a hefty Developer Update covering everything coming to the game within the next month. This time, we have news to share about new features, Killer updates, and various Perk & map changes.


Anti Face-Camping
You probably don’t want to find yourself on the hook in the first place, but it can quickly become frustrating if the Killer decides to wait nearby, preventing all but the most coordinated of teams from rescuing you. Camping has long been a contentious topic: While there are times where camping is the smart thing for the Killer to do (if there are Survivors nearby, for example), there’s not much the Survivor being camped can do. To help in the most extreme cases, we are introducing a new feature which may give you a second chance.

It’s been a little over a week since our star-studded Public Test Build (PTB). It’s been delightful to see so many Nicolas Cages running through The Entity’s Realm, screaming at the sight of the Killer and getting befuddled by Flashlights. As we get ready for the premier, we have been working on a few adjustments based on your feedback which we’d like to share with you today.



The Onryo
We’ve been keeping a close eye (pun intended) on The Onryo to see how her balance update played out on the PTB. After reviewing your feedback, we’ve identified some opportunities for fine tuning before this update goes live.

It’s been almost a week since the debut of the End Transmission Chapter. We’ve been keeping a close eye out for feedback since the launch, and we are already preparing a few balance changes for an upcoming update. Today, we’ll take a moment to run through each of the adjustments we have made and give some explanation as to why we are making them.

But first, let’s cover a few trends we’ve noticed:
  1. The Singularity’s Biopods are often disabled, making it difficult to use its Power.
  2. Holding an EMP offers a Survivor too much protection against The Singularity’s Power, allowing them to quickly and easily remove Slipstream and disable Biopods while being chased.
