The earlier reported issues with delayed gold should now be resolved. Players still experiencing issues with the purchasing of Voyages, supplies or commodities are advised to restart the game.

We are making strong progress towards resolving the login issues, and players are now starting to return to Sea of Thieves without issue. Should you encounter other beard errors while the backlog begins to clear, please keep trying. Thank you all for your patience.

As part of this fix, in-game voice chat is affected for some players. We will endeavour to restore this functionality as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Due to the login issues affecting many pirates during #SeaOfThievesCommunityDay, we're adding another 12 hours to the time you have to collect the free flag and emote, earn Twitch Drops and enjoy reward multipliers! These will now be available until 10pm GMT on Jan 31st.

Update: We're continuing to investigate the incident surrounding matchmaking and we hope to have an update tomorrow. Thank you for your patience as the team work to resolve this.

Players who have experienced a delay in gold when selling should now begin to see it appear in game, but please give this time.

The Sea of Thieves servers will be offline from approximately 10am GMT tomorrow, Wednesday 5th, so that our crew can take down the decorations and stow them away for another year. Please plan your Voyages accordingly.

The Festival of Giving is live until 10am GMT Dec 27th. Grab a free flag from Larinna, set out on a Gilded Voyage, unlock Wreath of Winter items and earn bonus rewards by having other crews cash your loot! ’Tis the season, after all :grog~1:

Acquiring a new Gilded Voyage during this year's Festival of Giving will remove any older Gilded Voyages you still have in your inventory. If you do still have a Gilded Voyage from a previous Event, we strongly advise completing it before picking up a new one.

Following further investigation, the freezing issues some players were experiencing are now resolved - and as such, we have switched achievement notifications back on.

While we understand your intention is to leave feedback, this type of post draws negative reaction, and does not foster discussion in the community.

Hit registration is an oversimplified term to cover a wide range of variables. From hardware to server speeds, packet loss, alculations on both the client and server hardware, connection speeds and reliability.

There are hundreds of factors that go into it that can determine how the server calculates hits. I know it can be frustrating but the dev team does work to improve the areas that contribute to hitreg issues but addressing all of the issues is a very complex and time consuming process and we are limited to the contributing factors under our control.

We value your feedback, and if you want to make suggestions or offer your ideas to improve the game, please feel free to create a new topic in Feedback & Suggestions on our official Forums.

As you may have seen on social media, there has been a possible leak of Twitch users’ information. For safety, we would advise changing the password on your Twitch account and any others that use the same password. Please also ensure that you have two-factor authentication enabled on your Twitch account.


Once you have done this, please go to www.seaofthieves.com/twitch-drops where you should unlink and relink your Sea of Thieves and Twitch accounts, as changing your Twitch password will likely cause the accounts to disconnect and your Twitch Drops eligibility to be removed. Following this step should ensure you’re all good to go for the next set of Drops!

Attention pirates! The Sea of Thieves servers will be taken offline at 10am BST tomorrow, September 29th, to apply a hotfix that resolves some outstanding issues.
